00:09The 42-year-old wife of Prince William, heir to the throne, described the treatment as

00:14having given her a profound new perspective on life, filling her with gratitude for the

00:19simple joys of loving and being loved.

00:22In a heartfelt message accompanying a video with her husband and their three children,

00:27filmed near their summer home in Norfolk, Kate announced her intention to undertake

00:31a few public engagements later this year.

00:34Following major abdominal surgery in January that revealed the presence of cancer, Kate

00:40has been undergoing treatment throughout the year.

00:43Despite stepping back from most public duties during her treatment, Kate made two notable

00:47appearances this year, at the King's Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour, in June, and

00:53at the Wimbledon Men's Final in July, where she received a standing ovation.

00:58A Buckingham Palace spokesperson conveyed that King Charles, who has also been undergoing

01:02treatment for cancer, and his wife Camilla, regard Kate's announcement as wonderful news,

01:09and will continue to offer their love, thoughts, and support as she continues her journey toward
