You beat your grand final in the Central Highlands Football League in your first season with
00:04
Bungaree.
00:05
What's the feeling like right now, moments after the victory?
00:09
You can't really put it into words really.
00:11
The boys, yeah, we played super today, played our game and we're just super stoked with
00:17
how that turned out.
00:19
It's still one to go, it's one tick, another tick, but yeah, we're super happy, we'll enjoy
00:23
it for now.
00:24
There was a bit of pressure on the club after dropping that qualifying final, but you came
00:28
through the semi-final strongly, which you had to do, and come up against what's been
00:33
the benchmark in Gordon for the last couple of years, tough first half, tell us about
00:38
that first half.
00:39
Yeah, it was a grind.
00:40
Yeah, they were on top at stages and we knew they would get on top at times, so we just
00:45
had to stick to our guns and play our roles, all 22 of us, and we knew if we could do that,
00:52
which we didn't do that against Gifton in the first final, that we could get it done.
00:56
So, yeah, we got it done by doing that, and then the second half really turned.
01:01
I reckon it's going to be a big night in the town of Bungaree, or wherever you boys are
01:06
here tonight, going by the fans there, and also that third quarter, it's known as the
01:11
premiership quarter, maybe it will be this year because you guys turned it on, as you've
01:15
already mentioned, you played your style of football, took control of the game, and from
01:20
that point on, it was in your hands.
01:22
Yeah, absolutely.
01:23
Like I said, we came out after half time, we had a message and we knew what we had to
01:27
do, and yeah, stick to playing all of our roles and the game plan, and like I said,
01:32
we didn't do that in the first final, and we stuck to that and did it in the third quarter
01:37
and it really showed.
01:38
So, we got on top and I think that set us up for the rest of the game.
