00:00The Office of the President's budget for the next year was quickly approved by the House Committee on Appropriations.

00:08It took only 15 minutes to discuss the inter-parliamentary courtesy.

00:14For 2025, the Office of the President is asking for a budget of more than P10.5 billion.

00:21According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, they will use the funds allocated to improve the services of Malacanang to Filipinos.

00:51The congressmen expressed their support for the administration, which was thanked by Malacanang.

01:21The Congress is our partner in upholding the country's national interest as well as in promoting the welfare of our people.

01:32The Office of the President is also facing a budget hearing by the officials of the Presidential Communications Office,

01:38led by its new leader, Secretary Cesar Chavez.

01:43The officials of the attached agencies and GOCCs, including the PCO, like your national television,

01:50led by PTV Network General Manager Antonio Baltazar Nebrida Jr.

01:55In that discussion, Secretary Chavez laid out the objectives of the PCO

02:00to improve the information dissemination of the government and their initiatives

02:05for the more aggressive promotion of the various objectives and projects of the government.

02:10The PCO does not only speak, write, and produce digital content.

02:15The PCO is now helping to organize events so that people, especially those who are needy experts, can have that platform to speak.

02:24The agency also confirmed their fight against fake news, which is very important, especially now that the election is approaching.

02:31For 2025, the PCO and its attached agencies have a budget proposal of more than P2 billion.

02:38In the case of PTV, GM Nebrida confirmed that the networks are already spread out

02:44so that the station can be expanded and our countrymen can reach it more.

02:50Part of the parameters for improving the programming mix, Your Honor,

02:55includes targeting demographics that are not exactly being covered by our current audience here.

03:06The other one is creating content that is both informative, educational, and inspirational for our publics.

03:19Always with the end in view of being more viable in so far as creating revenue streams for all these new programming and new channels.

03:32And then, of course, hopefully we are also able to get off the ground our reorganization plan.

03:41Aside from the OP and PCO, the officials of the Department of Migrant Workers
