The new cocoa-themed cafe serving Britain's 'best' hot chocolate

We visited the Chocolate Bar cafe at Leah's Yard in Sheffield city centre. It's the latest venture from Max Scotford, founder of the aeard-winning bean-to-bar chocolate company Bullion.

00:00Tell me, can you tell us a little bit about Chocolate Bar and what it's all about and

00:29where the chocolate comes from?

00:30So my name's Max and I'm the founder of Bullion Chocolate and the newly opened Chocolate Bar.

00:36So we opened a couple of weeks ago on the 24th of August in Lina's Yard and it's a bit

00:42special because it's basically all the chocolate that's served here has been stone ground in

00:49Sheffield.

00:50Obviously Bullion, you might have heard of us, we're a bean to bar chocolate brand where

00:53we source the best beans we can and we use really minimal process in order to make chocolate

00:59that has great flavour and a lot of you may have given it as presents to people but now

01:05you can actually come and bring your family and friends and indulge in it in all sorts

01:09of forms from freshly made baked goods all made with our chocolate and made in house

01:14right through to building your own drinking chocolate.

01:17So you don't have to pop in but basically there's a three step process to making your

01:22own drink.

01:23You can have it hot or ice, you choose your chocolate type so everything from white, milk,

01:28dark milk, all the way up to 90% dark and if you do want to add a flavour in as well

01:34we have a few different options for that and then taking you into the evening, we actually

01:38become Chocolate Bar and you can actually do a boozy twist, there's like, we've got

01:43over 30 spirits that you can add into your hot chocolate and also a load of chocolate

01:47cocktails so I think when it comes to chocolate we've got you covered, I think that's the

01:51main thing to take away from it.
