Cops cripple fake liquor syndicate in JB, three arrested

Police have busted a syndicate involved in processing and distributing counterfeit liquor for liquor shops in Johor Baru district.  Johor Baru North (JBU) OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said the activities were crippled during a joint-operation by the Southern Region 2 Marine and JBU police. 00:00The purpose of today's media coverage is to announce that there has been a syndicate process

00:09in which a gang of armed men has been arrested and executed.

00:19Between 2 September 2024 and 3 September,

00:27a marine police force from the Jua Tampui, Johor,

00:34together with the North Johor Baru IPD Crime Investigation Department,

00:40has conducted a syndicate and arrest at a farm in Johor Park

00:47and another farm in the main farm of Johor Baru.

00:53The first suspect, who was arrested by the marine police,

00:59was a 50-year-old local man

01:38The second suspect, who was arrested by the marine police,

01:51was a 44-year-old local man

02:03The third suspect, who was arrested by the marine police,

02:13was a 50-year-old local man

02:24The results of the initial investigation revealed that the farm was used

02:33to process and extort money around the area of Johor Baru

02:39while another farm could be used as a storage facility.

02:48The investigation revealed that the syndicate had been operating for more than 6 months.
