The third-generation 2025 Audi Q5 gets modern styling

00:00This is the new Audi Q5, the third generation of the automaker's luxury compact SUV.

00:19Let's take a look at everything that's changed for the new model.

00:23Up front, there's a new interpretation of the Audi single-frame grille and a new Audi

00:28badge.

00:29You'll see that there's sensor arrays for all of the adaptive safety tech underneath

00:33and real aero pass-throughs for the intakes.

00:37Under the hood, this car has a 2-liter turbocharged engine and there's an SQ5 model which has

00:42a turbocharged V6.

00:44Coming around to the side, you'll notice that the Q5 has 17 to 21-inch wheel sizes, depending

00:49on the market, and modernized bodywork, but with some touches that recall the first-generation

00:54Q5, like this beautiful C-pillar shape.

00:57The swooping roofline pinches back really elegantly to a rear spoiler and the bodywork

01:01has a really nice C-shape that's stamped into the metal.

01:04So in the rear, you'll notice that there's new taillight designs that also have configurable

01:08accents.

01:09Every Q5 can have eight lighting signatures that you can configure from the inside of

01:12the car.

01:13One of the coolest features of this car is that when you step on the brake pedal, this

01:16light bar comes up underneath.

01:18In our market, what's even cooler is that the Quattro logo will be displayed on the

01:22glass right there in the reflection.

01:25And what's even better is that it doesn't hurt the safety of the car at all, because

01:29you can't see it from the inside.

01:31So it only gives people behind you a better sense of when you're coming to a stop or slowing

01:34down.

01:35If we open the trunk, Audi pointed out some really cool features.

01:38Not only is there the usual luggage cover, if you open the trunk and then move some pieces

01:44around, that luggage cover can be hidden away.

01:46So if you have five friends and you're going to the mountains and it's full of cargo, and

01:50then once you get to the Airbnb and you stash all your stuff away, you can hide that cover

01:54underneath the floor of the trunk.

01:56There you have it.

01:57That's the exterior of the Audi Q5.

01:58Let's go inside and take a closer look at the new tech.

02:01Inside the Q5, almost everything has changed.

02:03The first thing you'll notice is how big the screens are.

02:06There's two displays hidden under one piece of curved glass, and the housing for that

02:10unit is shaped like the Audi single frame grille.

02:13There's a new steering wheel with a new badge, and there's controls on the wheel that adjust

02:18the heads up display.

02:19So you can use a lot of the functions without taking your eyes off the road.

02:23Now this car has the available passenger side display, and that screen allows the passenger

02:27to use almost all of the infotainment functionality on their side.

02:31If your passenger is your co-pilot, they can even punch in new directions for you and change

02:35the route at will.

02:36One of the hallmarks of the Q5's interior is the soft wraparound with lines that extend

02:42from behind the driver all the way around and then behind the passenger too.

02:46Highlighting that line is ambient lighting cues on the doors, on the dash underneath

02:51the screen, and in here, and in here.

02:54And you can change those cues whenever you want with this button on the screen.

02:58That line also is reflected in a belt line that goes under the windshield as well.

03:02That light bar is actually really cool because if you turn on your hazard lights, it shows

03:08them on that screen and on your side mirrors, so you know for sure that they're on.

03:12As you can see, the interior of the new Q5 is stuffed with new tech.

03:16These screens and all of the lighting signature features will really make this car stand out

03:20against other cars in the luxury compact SUV segment.
