00:00Hello everyone, this is Paul Branson Reviews, and today I'm bringing you a Tim Horton Donut

00:07Vanilla Dip.

00:08Now normally I don't like these sprinkles on.

00:12They look like, you know, like, I don't know what you call them, I guess they're just sprinkles

00:15of different flavors, but this is a vanilla dip.

00:18So I figured I'd give it a try.

00:20It's called the Vanilla Dip Classic.

00:22I've now said that three times, but I forgot to put in the classic word.

00:25This is supposed to be a classic donut from Tim Horton's, and they just brought it out.

00:30I don't know how long it's going to be there, but let's just see if it's any good.

00:34Obviously there's nothing inside.

00:36I think they should put filling inside.

00:39Vanilla should be inside, on top, and all over the place.

00:43So let's see.

00:47As you see here, you could easily, oh jeez, I didn't realize how easy, you can easily

00:51take this off.

00:53To be honest with you, that shouldn't be so easy to take off.

00:56I could take it off and it can just be a plain donut.

00:59You know, they should glaze this donut as well.

01:02I don't know.

01:03Jeez, I didn't realize that would be so easy.

01:05Now it's all over me.

01:06Let's just see how good.

01:17Not sweet enough, but just right for me.

01:21I know some people would probably want it sweeter, but they could, not chocolate glaze,

01:26they can glaze this if they wanted to, then put this on top.

01:29Now I'm just going to eat it with the dough as well.

01:40You know what?

01:44It's a bit sweeter eating it with the dough, and I don't know why.

02:00I like it though.

02:02Strangely enough, I like it.

02:03I didn't think I would.

02:18You know what?

02:19Strangely enough, I do like it.

02:20I would give this a 6 out of 10.

02:21It's not fantastic.

02:22It's a simple donut.

02:24No, maybe I should give it a, yeah, I'd give it a 6 out of 10 because it is a simple donut.

02:28Nothing super special.

02:30It's okay.

02:51It has really no aftertaste, so that's a good thing.

02:53But this is Tim Hortons.

02:55This is their Dark Roast.

02:56Now you may not know this, but every year their Dark Roast is slightly different.

03:01Now I haven't heard anything about their Dark Roast this year at all.

03:04If it was good or bad, but I think the best year that they had a Dark Roast, because every

03:10year the beans are different, so the Dark Roast beans are different.

03:14So I have no idea if this Dark Roast is going to be good.

03:18I like it black because I want to taste if it's good or not.

03:21I think if you cover it with sugar and, you know, milk and cream, you're not really getting

03:27the true flavor of coffee.

03:29Someone mentioned that to me a long time ago, and they said it's better to have nothing

03:32in it because I used to always have Double Double.

03:35Then I had nothing in it.

03:36Then I started realizing a lot of coffee didn't really taste that good.

03:40So I'm going to try the Dark Roast coffee now.

03:42Now obviously they'll be changing this Dark Roast coffee very soon.

03:46I think they change it in February or March, a very other year.

03:49So it's only going to be out until the end of this year, 2024.

03:54Smells okay.

04:01It's Dark Roast, alright.

04:03It's nothing special.

04:05It's actually still hot too, and I always get a complaint that it's not hot enough because

04:09they, you know, I'm sipping it and I'm like, I might as well get the cold drink.

04:20Actually, you know what?

04:22This year's Dark Roast isn't bad.

04:24I took the first sip, now the second sip, but it's colder now.

04:28It's not as hot as it should be.

04:29I like my coffee to be a little bit more hotter.

04:32So if you like Dark Roast coffee and you just get the regular coffee, try the Dark Roast

04:35coffee.

04:36And like I said, if you don't like it one year, you might like it the next.

04:40So there's always a difference because of the way the beans are roasted or whatnot.

04:45But also too, if you don't know this, McDonald's coffee, I think it's only in selected areas,

04:52I'm not sure on this, they drop their prices.

04:56They drop their prices at McDonald's.

04:58And I always did like McDonald's coffee a little bit better than Tim Hortons.

05:02Now that that's saying that, I actually really do like this Dark Roast because I don't think,

05:07yeah, McDonald's does not have Dark Roast as far as I know.

05:11So I like this.

05:12I would probably get this again over the regular for the rest of this year anyway, but I don't

05:16drink coffee too often.

05:17And I rate this about a 7.2, kind of an odd number, or maybe not an odd number, 7.2 or

05:277.3.

05:28It is good.

05:29It's good than most.

05:30Oh geez, I just burped.

05:31All right, everyone.

05:32And the donut, I think I rated that, geez, I can't remember what I rated the donut.

05:38I might change my mind now.

05:39I think I rated the donut a six.

05:41So I might give the donut a 6.4 out of 10 because it didn't leave me an aftertaste in

05:47my mouth even after drinking the coffee.

05:56It should be bigger.

05:57There should be a lot more to it than just a simple donut, but it works for what it is.
