00:14they were hit by a man driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, identified as Sean Higgins.
00:19An affidavit filed about the incident claims Higgins admitted to drinking up to six beers
00:23before the accident, reading,
00:25Mr. Higgins explicitly stated to The Effect that his consumption of alcoholic beverages
00:30contributed to his impatience and reckless driving, which resulted in the motor vehicle
00:34accident.
00:35The tragedy carries extra weight, as the Gaudreau brothers were just hours from serving as groomsmen
00:40in their sister's wedding.
00:41The NHL community is left heartbroken and reeling from the loss, as many took to social
00:46media to remember Gaudreau's love for the sport and his kind soul.
