00:00Am I allowed to say?
00:02You're allowed to say, yes.
00:04Tyree's just waiting.
00:05Aw, give me that heart, Finn.
00:07Bring it over here in the beginning.
00:12He's going to do it.
00:13Do it now.
00:15You're so emotional, pal.
00:17Oh, my God.
00:18Rotate the hug.
00:23Aw.
00:26Come on.
00:27Let's have those tears.
00:29And then...
00:30I'll take it.
00:31We will take it all day.
00:33Every day is a blessing.
00:35Hey, to your left.
00:37Looking to the left, Tyree.
00:41All right, guys.
00:43Looking good, guys.
00:46Hey.
00:50Thank you, sir.
00:52They're looking in.
00:53Nice.
00:58Tyree.
00:59Tyree, sit down.
01:04Can you tell that I really love you?
01:06No hand, no makeup.
01:08I'm just here to support you.
01:19You know, it's, uh...
01:21I think that there's a difference between
01:24doing a film
01:27where you want to contribute to the division.
01:30You want to contribute to the divide.
01:33And then there's films
01:35where when you shed light
01:38on racism or excessive force or murder
01:42or just an injustice in any capacity,
01:46then shedding light on it
01:49is an invite to effect change.
01:51The script, you know, somebody had this idea
01:54to tell a story.
01:55I just read the script after the Minneapolis riots.
01:58And for me, after seeing that happening in Minneapolis, in L.A.,
02:02after the George Floyd riots,
02:04it kind of was shocking because you're reading a script
02:07and you say, that happened 30 years ago.
02:09And it's happened again.
02:11So what's the symbolic metaphor about the movie that I'm going to do
02:14and what's the message we're trying to do in any film?
02:16And I think 92 has a strong message.
02:19First of all, it's very entertaining.
02:21But in the end of it, you're taking away
02:23the possibility of one choice,
02:25whether to go into violence,
02:27whether to go into conflict,
02:29or to stay out of it.
02:31And I think in the end of the day,
02:32that's kind of what's going to defer us
02:34to survivor societies
02:36because who knows what will happen in two months in this country
02:39with this election.
02:40So I think 92 is a good movie
02:43to kind of give you a little bit of a boost of knowledge,
02:46of intelligence, of history,
02:47but at the same time entertain you
02:49and then maybe leave you with a thought
02:51when you're going home
02:52about how to behave
02:54and what to do and not to do.
02:56Yes, thank you so much.
02:57Enjoy July.
02:58Tell me, how do you feel?
03:01What do you think this movie is about?
03:04I mean, the main message,
03:06the most important message.
03:07Yeah, the message is,
03:09so it's about the backdrop
03:11is the Rodney King verdict
03:13and the riots that happened.
03:15But it's really about falling sun dynamics.
03:17You know what I'm saying?
03:18It's about the father-son dynamic
03:21between Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood
03:25and then the father-son dynamic
03:27between Tyrese and Chris.
03:29And so it's really,
03:31because I have a son as well.
03:32He plays in the NBA, actually.
03:34He plays for the Detroit Pistons, league business.
03:37So I understand the father-son dynamic well.
03:41And so, no, it was a great experience.
03:45I trained my role in the movie as Joseph.
03:49And it's a great movie.
03:51It's a thriller.
03:54Celebrating this amazing movie.
03:56Couldn't be happier.
03:57This has been in the works for a couple of years
03:59and I'm just excited for everybody
04:03to get to see it finally.
04:05I think we have a really great little movie
04:07under our hands.
04:09And that's it.
04:11I'm just like, you know,
04:12I got butterflies all over.
04:14I saw one cut of the movie a long time ago
04:17and I'm excited to see the final product.
04:19Well, I think it's family before everything.
04:22It's just like I'm a father for three children
04:25and just like any parent being
04:29under extreme circumstances
04:31I think will do everything and anything
04:34you possibly can think of
04:36to save his child and protect their family.
04:40I think just like appreciate your father
04:44and your mother.
04:45She's angry at you.
04:46He's angry at you.
04:48Okay, but they love you and they raise you
04:50and they'll do everything and anything
04:52to protect you.
04:53And don't you forget that.
04:54Don't forget that, kids.
04:56So I think it's very,
04:58that on the one hand.
04:59On the other hand, it's just like,
05:01it's a thrill ride.
05:03And it's like if you go in
05:06and you just surrender to it,
05:09you come out exhausted
05:10but feeling like,
05:11hell yeah, this is what I paid money to see
05:14and I'm fully entertained.
05:16Do you remember where you went
05:19in the 1992 riot?
05:21I was in Seattle, Washington.
05:23I was seeing it on the television.
05:25I mean, it was just crazy.
05:28It didn't look real at first.
05:30Because it was the first time
05:32that a riot like that was televised
05:34live in that way.
05:36So, yeah, it was pretty intense.
05:38It felt abstract.
05:40This movie is about family.
05:42It's also an action movie.
05:44Also, a reminder of what happened in 1992.
05:48Do you remember where you went?
05:52Yeah, I was in school.
05:53And then it was an announcement too
05:55telling the kids to calm down.
05:57We had an assembly, I believe,
05:59for everybody to talk about it.
06:01Yeah, it was a crazy time.
06:04And everything that happened after that,
06:06we were talking about the other day
06:07how we make jokes about that.
06:09Like, even Martin Lawrence,
06:11who's one of the greatest ever,
06:12the time that passed,
06:13was it too soon when he did the joke?
06:15And then later on, it's like,
06:16but now, you forgot.
06:19You forgot the entire story.
06:20And it's cool.
06:22It's a reminder,
06:23but it is an important history
06:24like everything else,
06:25like good and bad.
06:27And then turn around.
06:31To the right.
06:32To the right, Tyree.
06:37And then right down the center.
06:38Looking right down the center here.
06:46Turn towards us a little bit, Scott.
06:48Turn towards us.
06:50Scott, up top.
06:53Scott, one look to your left, please.
06:55Tyree, please.
07:03Thank you, guys.
07:04Clear, clear.
07:06All eyes on me.
07:07Down low, please.
07:08On for Arnold.
07:09Arnold Turner.
