00:21Throughout the trial, Sancho had maintained the killing of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta
00:26Arteaga was an act of self-defence. The lawyer representing the family of the victim said

00:45The court convicted Sancho of the gruesome murder that saw him killing the 44-year-old
00:50victim in Koh Phangan and dismembering his body and placed parts of it in plastic bags
00:56that he distributed around the island. Police took days to find the body parts from a cement
01:02yard of a waste disposal centre. Sancho is the son of renowned Spanish actor Rodolfo
01:08Sancho.
01:09The court also ordered the accused to pay the victim's family 4.42 million baht in compensation.
