00:00As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

00:14Bismillah walhamdulillah wa salatu wa salamu ala rasoolillah.

00:17Allahumma a'allimna ma infa'una wa infa'na bima a'allamtana wa zidna ilman ya rahman

00:22rahimin.

00:23We ask Allah azza wa jal teach us what benefit us, benefit us from what he taught us and

00:27increase us in knowledge.

00:28Ameen.

00:29Ya rabbal alameen.

00:30My dear, beloved, respected brothers and sisters, I ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to make me

00:35and you benefit from these reminders.

00:39Kullu nafsin dha'iqatul mawt.

00:47Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told us, kullu nafsin, every soul shall taste death.

00:56The reminder today is about that night that we are all going to experience.

01:04It's about that night that is coming without a doubt and only Allah knows when.

01:12It's about that night that is getting closer with every breath we take.

01:18It's about that night, if it's good, everything after it will be much better.

01:27And if it's not, everything after it will be much worse.

01:33It is the first night in the grave.

01:39My brothers and sisters, as believers we all know that we are all going to die.

01:49And our family, our beloved ones and friends, they will perform the janazah prayer and they

02:02will take us to the graveyard.

02:07They will put us in the grave.

02:11They will be very sad.

02:13Some will be crying.

02:14But at the end of the day, the children will leave.

02:20The parents will leave.

02:23The spouse will leave.

02:25The friends will leave.

02:28The very dear brothers will also leave.

02:32And we are left alone.

02:39After everyone leaves, Rasulullah ﷺ told us that there will be a squeeze that every

02:52person will experience.

02:56There will be a squeeze that everyone will experience.

03:01Every body in that grave will experience the squeeze of the grave.

03:09But for the believer, the squeeze will be just like the squeeze of a mother that have

03:20not seen her son or her daughter for such a long time, a very gentle, beautiful, full

03:29of love and tenderness.

03:32But the squeeze will definitely take place.

03:37And then after that, we will hear the footsteps of our family members and friends and brothers

03:45leaving the graveyard.

03:49And then the two angels will come, sit the body up, and ask the three questions.

04:00Allah ﷻ said,

04:19At that time, when the angels start these three questions, whosoever was steadfast in

04:38this dunya, whosoever struggled and strived to please Allah ﷻ in this dunya, the angels

04:44will come down and give them the glad tidings that there's nothing to worry about from the

04:53people you left and have glad tidings of what's coming after.

05:00The angels, the two angels, will ask the three questions.

05:04Look at the mercy of Allah that He gave us the three questions and He gave us 30, 40,

05:1050, 20, 80 years to prepare the answers and He gave us the answers.

05:20You've never seen an angel in your life and even if you are above the ground and you see

05:25an angel, you get startled.

05:28Can you imagine under the ground, in that tight place, in the darkness, you've seen

05:33this angel so can you imagine how you're going to react?

05:37And they're asking you a question, they're asking you three questions.

05:44Who's your Lord?

05:48What's your deen?

05:51And what's the name of that man that was sent to you?

05:54What's the name of your messenger?

05:58Whomsoever had steadfastness in this dunya, Rasulullah ﷺ told us in a very long hadith

06:03that he will answer very easy.

06:06Who's your Lord?

06:07Allah.

06:08What's your deen?

06:09Islam.

06:10What's the name of the man who was sent to you, Muhammad ﷺ?

06:16That's why it's very important at that time when we bury our beloved ones, the best du'a

06:21to make at that time, Allahumma thabbithu for the male or thabbitha inda al-sual.

06:28Ya Allah, keep them steadfast when they are being questioned.

06:32I ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to make me and everyone who's watching steadfast when

06:37they are questioned.

06:40After we pass the test of these three questions, what happened?

06:47An order from Allah with five glad tidings.

06:52First, the grave will be furnished from Jannah.

06:58The grave that to me and you, it looks like two by six.

07:04Allah will furnish it from Jannah.

07:08The second thing will happen, the person will be clothed from the cloth of Jannah.

07:15All these are taught to us by Rasulullah ﷺ and they have authentic hadith to support

07:25them.

07:26And then the person in the grave, a gate of Jannah will be opened for him or her.

07:33And it's breeze will come to him or her.

07:36And he smells it's fragrance and he feels the delight in what he sees, Allahu Akbar.

07:44Third, fourth, the grave will be made spacious as far as the eye can see.

07:53From above the ground we think it's small, but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, keep in mind

07:57the life of the barzakh, the life of the grave is completely different than this life.

08:02Allah will make the grave very spacious.

08:06And fifth, he will be given the glad tidings of Jannah, of Allah's pleasure and Jannah,

08:20Allahu Akbar.

08:22May Allah make us all from the people who will get these glad tidings, Ameen Ya Rabbil Alameen.

08:30My brother, my dear sister, after a few days when we pass, people start forgetting us.

08:45Our wealth, properties will be distributed.

08:50The tears will dry.

08:56What happened after your neighbor died?

08:59What happened after your cousin died years ago?

09:03Anybody still remember them?

09:05Why do you think that me and you are going to be different?

09:09If you want to know what happens after your death, look what happened after someone else's death.

09:18So what's the point?

09:19The point is, we will be alone in that grave.

09:26And you know, according to the hadith, what will be left with us, Rasulullah ﷺ, he told

09:36us after we get all these glad tidings, then a man with a beautiful face, a man with a

09:46beautiful face, beautiful garment, and sweet odor comes.

09:52And the person in the grave said, who are you?

09:57You look so good.

09:59You have such a beautiful smell.

10:02Who are you?

10:03Your face is perfectly beautiful.

10:06Then the person will reply, I am your good deeds, Allah Akbar.

10:14I am that salat that you prayed, I am that sadaqat that you gave, I am the Qur'an that

10:23you read and you memorized, I am the fasting, I am the struggle that you went through, I

10:30am the two rak'ah that you prayed in the middle of the night, I am, I am, all the great

10:38a'mal, they will come presented in a man with a good face that will be our companion

10:46till the day of judgment, Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar.

10:52At that time I, or every time someone dies, my brother and sister, I want you to remember

11:00this ayah.

11:01This ayah in surah al-hijr, Allah azza wa jal is swearing by himself, Allah is swearing

11:15by himself, what is he saying?

11:17I will ask them 100%, I will question everyone about what they used to do.

11:26We will be questioned about everything, everything, so, my brothers and sisters, since that will

11:37be our companion in that tight spot, I don't know how hot it is or how cold it is, but

11:45I want to have a very good companion, I don't want to be from the people, we don't want

11:54to be from the people, ya Allah, please bring me back, ya Allah, please bring me back, just

12:02for a short period of time, what do you want to do?

12:04Ya Allah, I want to wear the hijab, ya Allah, I want to pray every salat on time, ya Allah,

12:10please bring me back, I want to give in charity, ya Allah, please bring me back, I want to

12:16read the Quran, I want to be good to my parents, ya Allah, bring me back, ya Allah, please

12:21bring me back, just for a short period of time, Allah said,

12:27لَيُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَاجَلُهُ

12:32That's it, you were given so much time, you were given so many talks, you watched so many

12:40videos, you have attended so many Jumu'ahs, and every one of them was a reminder to come

12:46back to Allah, and you kept on telling yourself, I have a lot of time to come back to Allah,

12:53and then the angel of death comes, when he comes, he doesn't send a text message or an

13:00email or a phone call, I'm coming, he comes, فجأة, suddenly, a car accident, a drown,

13:08a sickness, الله أعلم, so my brothers and sisters, this is the time, this is the

13:17time to make that night, the first night in the grave, the best night ever, this is the

13:25time when we are still above the ground, so from now, stop all the things that might ruin

13:33that night, stop the riba, stop the gambling, stop the alcohol, stop the cheating, stop

13:40the infidelity, stop the smoking, stop dealing with haram, stop selling haram, stop buying

13:46haram, والله, والله, Allah is all truthful, he said there will come a time that we will

13:52come back and say, ya Allah, bring us back, سبحان الله, and Rasulullah صلى

13:59الله عليه وسلم, he told us, one time he was walking next to a grave, and he

14:06said, if this man in the grave was given the option, listen carefully my brothers and sisters,

14:15if this man in the grave was given the option to come back to the dunya, and told, you will

14:24own the whole dunya, or pray two rak'ah, what would you like to do? Rasulullah صلى

14:33الله عليه وسلم said, ركعتان, he will pick the two rak'ah, because of what

14:41he found, the result of obeying Allah, he did not take any penny with him, have you

14:48ever seen anybody take their car with them, their house with them, their clothing with

14:53them, their money with them, their vaults with them, their children with them, nothing,

14:59only the a'mal, only the deeds, please brothers and sisters, before it's too late, before

15:07it's too late, we all know, we all know that 100% that day is coming, and when we say something

15:14or someone is coming, that means with every second that passes by, they are getting closer.

15:24I ask Allah عز و جل to make our first night in the grave the best night ever, I

15:31ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى to make the first night in the grave of our parents,

15:36of our beloved ones the best night ever, I ask Allah عز و جل to make our last deeds

15:43our best deeds and our last words لا إله إلا الله
