No Umno infighting for Mahkota polls candidacy, says Ahmad Zahid

There is no infighting within Umno over the Mahkota by-election candidacy, says party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.   Speaking outside the Johor Mentri Besar’s official residence in Johor Baru on Monday (Aug 26), Zahid dismissed the speculations, reaffirming that, as Barisan Nasional chairman, the final decision on the candidate for the state seat rests with him. 01:21So, it's different in Padang and in Dunmah Kota.

01:27Because there are about 34% of the voters are Chinese.

01:32Compared to Negeri, there are only 19%.

01:35So, I have ordered the Ministry of Relief,

01:40where certain parts will be placed in 18 PDMs in Dunmah Kota.

01:48So, there will be some differences.

01:54But we have to get together with the voters.
