00:00What can you tell us about what's going on with Gavin and Stacey?

00:02Well, we only got the script for this. This is a new special that'll be on on Christmas Day.

00:07And it winds everything up and, you know, it had been...

00:11Well, first of all, we knew it was going to happen, but we were told we had to keep it a secret.

00:15So you have to lie to people, so people will come up at any...

00:18No, I don't know anything.

00:20That's a horrible feeling, because you don't want to lie to somebody right in the face.

00:25Then it was announced, but even when it was announced, we hadn't seen the script.

00:29So it was a couple of months before the cast saw the script.

00:32I only saw it. We were on holiday. We were away.

00:34But a month ago, I read it. Oh, it's so good.

00:39Now, you would say that, wouldn't you?

00:40I would not. No, no, I kind of wouldn't. I wouldn't, actually.

00:44It's really... I don't want to tempt fate, you know, touch wood, but I think it's fantastic.

00:48All right, now, you were reading the script out to your wife...

00:51Yes.

00:51...as you were going on holiday, weren't you?

00:53Yeah, I was, yeah.

00:53And you were tearing up.

00:54Don't tell James and Ruth that, because they are very secretive.

00:56No, no.

00:57They would probably rather I didn't read it to anybody.

00:59And also, I'm just making this spitter.

01:02Yeah, I was. And do you know what? I was moved to tears.

01:05Because it's emotional and...

01:07Right, so production schedule-wise, read-throughs next week, or...?

01:11Yes, we start all the... Next week is rehearsals. This week is CarFest. Next week is rehearsals.

01:17Week after that, we start filming it.

01:19Brilliant. Absolutely amazing. How excited are you to get back together?

01:22I really am, because I know this will be the last time.

01:24This really is it.

01:25Oh, yeah, yeah. We'll all be together, because we all get on so well.

01:31And I think it has been 17 years since we started.
