00:00If I have to survive on one dish for the rest of my life, then I'll choose this chicken biryani.
00:04Welcome to episode 1 of my new series, Recipes That Remind Me Of Home.
00:08In today's episode, we'll be making Sindhi or Karachi-style chicken biryani.
00:11First, add soaked rice, oil, vinegar and salt to boiling water and cook it for 80%.
00:15Meanwhile, add a small onion to the ghee and sauté till golden brown.
00:19Add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes.
00:20Cover it for 5 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked.
00:23Mix it and add some green chillies.
00:25Add some food color to the chicken and let it tan.
00:26Add it to the pan and sauté it well.
00:28Add potatoes and wait for it to cook in the comment section.
00:30Add some water and cover it for 7-8 minutes.
00:33I made this Sindhi biryani especially for Independence Day.
00:35And I think it's high time we support our Pakistani businesses.
00:38That's why I'll be using both national foods and homemade spices.
00:40Add spices and lemon juice mentioned in the caption and whisk it well.
00:44Add boiled potatoes and the curd mixture and cook for a few minutes.
00:47It's time to add your rice.
00:48You can add it in layers as well, but I know you like shortcuts.
00:51So, we'll make just one layer.
00:52Top this with lemon slices and food color.
00:54Let it simmer for 15 minutes and mix it.
00:55And this time, enjoy it with your family.
00:58And don't forget to follow the instructions in the caption
