EU reaches its winter gas storage target weeks ahead of schedule

The European Union's gas storage facilities can cover up to a third of its gas demand in winter.

00:00The EU has already reached its 90% capacity target for filling our gas storages, so that's

00:13something which we legislated for during the energy crisis, that by 1st of November every

00:18year we would fill up the EU storage capacity to 90% and we're already there around 10 weeks

00:25ahead of schedule.

00:55We are in touch on a constant basis with our Member States to ensure that they are prepared

01:09for the winter, but we have no indications that there is any significant new threats

01:15or risks for the coming winter.
