00:13They include statutory declarations from 115 MPs purportedly backing him as Prime Minister
00:19soon after the 15th general election in 2022, which resulted in a hung parliament.
00:26He explained that 114 declarations had been submitted to Istana-Negara on November 21,
00:312022, and an additional declaration was submitted the following day.
00:36The Bursatu president also submitted to the police a letter from the then-King's private
00:40secretary, Nazim Alim, confirming the receipt of the declarations.
00:46Muhyiddin had questioned why he was not invited by the former King, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan
00:50Ahmad Shah, to become the Prime Minister after the 15th general election.
00:55In his speech on August 15, Muhyiddin said he obtained a simple majority and had the
01:00backing of enough MPs to form the government.
