In a thrilling development for fans of both the comic book and film worlds, Jamie Foxx has officially signed on to star as the lead in the long-awaited Spawn movie, set to be released in 2025. The film, which has been in development for several years, is a reimagining of the iconic anti-hero created by Todd McFarlane.

The new Spawn promises to be a dark and gritty return to the character’s roots, following Al Simmons, a former black-ops agent betrayed by his own team and sent to Hell. Resurrected as Spawn, he becomes a Hellspawn, a soldier in the Devil's army, but he rebels against his demonic masters to fight for justice on Earth.
