00:00Welcome back everyone.
00:06It is Amelia.
00:07I hope you are fine.
00:09House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 6, left audiences with tons of fresh material to break
00:14down.
00:15The HBO prequel series is finally making good on Season 2's additions to the House of the
00:20Dragon cast, demonstrating how seemingly minor characters like Adam and Alan will be integrated
00:26into the central narrative, with the world still reacting to the fallout of Rook's Rest.
00:31The war was elevated in the pivotal Dragon Battle, and the Blacks and Greens are still
00:35scrambling to find their bearings amid everything that's happened in the dance so far.
00:41Episode 6 sees Rhaenyra and Jaeserys beginning their search for new riders to try and tame
00:46the unclaimed dragons on Dragonstone.
00:48Stefan Darklyn is horribly burnt alive trying to mount Seasmoke, causing Rhaenyra once again
00:54to second-guess her strategy.
00:55Daemon is still running wild at Harrenhal, losing himself to his visions as he remains
01:01at the Haunted Castle, trying to assemble an army.
01:04Meanwhile, the Greens struggle under the new management of Prince Regent Aemon Targaryen,
01:09who's potentially less stable than the impetuous King Aegon II.
01:13The episode's ending shows Rhaenyra receiving news that Seasmoke has been seen flying around
01:18the crownlands with a new rider.
01:20Her intention with Stefan Darklyn was to have her trusted knight mount Seasmoke, the unclaimed
01:25dragon that seemed most eager to find a new human companion.
01:29When this backfired, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to find a new rider of Valyrian blood
01:34to bond with the dragons.
01:36However, the lonely Seasmoke seems to find its own rider in Adham of Hull, who's been
01:41slowly introduced throughout the season on Driftmark.
01:44Adham of Hull is seen fishing on the shore when he appears to be attacked by Seasmoke.
01:49He's terrified by the massive beast at first, but in his final moments in the episode, he
01:54appears to realize that the dragon means him no harm, hinting that he would become
01:58its rider.
01:59Adham becomes Seasmoke's rider in Fire and Blood.
02:02The HBO show's source material, which is fitting, given that he's Corlys Velaryon's bastard
02:07son.
02:08Previously, Seasmoke was ridden by Lord Corlys Treborn's son, Laenor Velaryon, before he
02:13was ridden of the show in season 1.
02:16Added to the list of surprising book changes in House of the Dragon season 2 is Rhaenyra's
02:21romance with Myseria.
02:22In the book, Myseria grows closer to Rhaenyra throughout the dance, though their relationship
02:27is never described as anything more than strategic and political.
02:31Rhaenyra and Myseria demonstrated some notable sexual tension earlier in the season, but
02:37this is the first time they've actually been physically intimate.
02:40As for Rhaenyra, her desire for Myseria seems to be motivated by a feeling of power.
02:45Myseria is the only person in season 2 who's spoken to her like a queen and expressed genuine
02:51belief in her, and it makes some sense that Rhaenyra would turn to her for intimacy.
02:55It could also be due to a desire for superiority over Daemon.
02:59As for Myseria, she seems to believe in Rhaenyra and wants to please her.
03:04But her complex feelings towards Daemon could also be a factor.
