A clever dad managed to soothe his newborn baby by attaching a pacifier - to his chest.

The dad, who didn't wish to reveal his name, came up with the ingenious hack after his baby nicknamed Dodo wouldn't stop crying.

Funny video filmed in Baoji, China, shows Dodo sucking on the pacifier as mum can be heard giggling in the background.

The unconventional technique proved to be effective as the baby remained exceptionally quiet, showing no signs of distress or crying.
