00:21The European Union has already launched an investigation on X,

00:23suspected of not moderating violent and hateful content enough.

00:27The procedure is still underway, but if the violation is definitively established,

00:31X could be sentenced to a fine of up to 6% of its global annual turnover,

00:36that is $204 million.

00:38And if the company refuses to apply the corrective measures,

00:41it could be fined a daily fine of 5% of its turnover.

00:45If this is not enough and the infraction causes serious damage,

00:49the European Commission could even temporarily suspend X in Europe.
