00:04Yes, I was surprised. When I saw it, I thought it was really me.

00:08Brother Kim, if the identity theft was a problem back then,

00:11especially now, it's so easy to use your face and your identity to be a scammer.

00:16This is the story of public affairs.

00:18We are joined by Emil Sumangil in the program, Recibo.

00:2523-year-old Faith fell into Recibo.

00:29Her real name is not her real name.

00:30She said that someone was using her identity to be a scammer.

00:38Someone contacted me on my social media account

00:41and informed me that someone was using my picture with a different name.

00:47When she watched the videos,

00:50she was shocked to see that her face was included in the videos.

00:58What's more shocking is that Faith's face was also used to be a scammer.

01:02The most specific word they used was, Love Scam.

01:06The name Kim that we hid was the one who messaged Faith.

01:10She said that her ex-boyfriend was using Faith's face to be a scammer.

01:16We didn't know that in April of 2023, someone was using her face to be a scammer.

01:21We didn't know that she was a Filipino and she was using her face to be a scammer.

01:27After they talked to the suspect that we hid under the name of Paul,

01:31he said that he is not dead and he is still a member of Panluloko Diomano Online.

01:37This is where Kim messaged Faith.

01:40He was stopped by the authorities for obtaining an affidavit of denial.

01:43This will be Faith's last chance to prove that she is not the scammer

01:49against those who might complain to her.

01:52The man who made the videos was charged with recidivism.

01:57According to Gary, he was not really named.

01:59He was the victim of his nephew.

02:03My girlfriend sent me a friend request and I accepted it.

02:10We chat a lot.

02:13We have a good conversation.

02:15I have a lot of money now.

02:17It's for the house I built.

02:19More than half a million pesos were sent to his lover, who is his nephew.

02:25Aside from AI masking that artificial intelligence uses to get a part of the real picture,

02:31to use it in the new video footage,

02:35Paul is doing something else.

02:38He created fake identities or fake IDs to use in his business.

02:44He used fake IDs to get money.

02:47We tried to find Paul and get him information about his previous fights.

02:52But when it comes to their location,

02:54his parents don't know when and where their son will return home.

02:58If Paul's crime can be proven in Republic Act No. 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012,

03:07he will face 6 to 12 years in prison.

03:11If an artificial intelligence expert asks,

03:14it's not easy to determine if a video or photo is real or fake

03:17that was used by AI masking.

03:19That's why it should be transparent to everyone who sees it online.

03:24It's hard to know if this technology was used by AI masking or deepfake or authentic.

03:32If we see suspicious videos that are fake, we should report it.

03:37There is no doubt that the help of technology is increasing in our daily lives.

03:43But the authorities remind people to use this power for their own good.

03:49The laws will not stop until they are heard and answered.
