00:00Why do some countries have nuclear weapons while others don't?
00:02Currently, there are nine officially recognized nuclear states,
00:05six of which are in Asia, two in Europe, and only one in North America.
00:08Other countries don't have it because of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty,
00:12which was signed in 1968 to prevent the spread of nuclear weapon.
00:15Only four countries have never signed the NPT, India, Pakistan, Israel, and South Sudan,
00:20three of which have nukes.
