I Tried Dropshipping For 48hrs in 2024

00:00Alright, let's face it, Shopify dropshipping was a thing way in the past and it's a brand
00:04new year, 2024, so my question is to you, does it still work?
00:09Well, we're gonna find out because we have 48 hours to do this challenge and see if Shopify
00:14dropshipping is still qualified to do in 2024.
00:19I've done a couple videos in the past on my channel doing Shopify dropshipping, so we're
00:23gonna be using the same site, and that is fitrevolution.store.
00:27The reason why I'm using this and not setting a newer site is because when I did those videos,
00:31this worked and I was able to get conversions, people to go on the site and buy.
00:35So step one is already completed.
00:37We already have the site.
00:38We know this will convert from 2023, but the real question is, does it convert in 2024?
00:45Competition is a lot heavier.
00:47Everybody and their grandma knows what Shopify dropshipping is, so will it work this year?
00:51So this is what we're working with.
00:52So it's fitrevolution.store.
00:54As you can see here, it's a beauty site.
00:57Obviously, it's for females as the main target, and you have different products.
01:00I don't know what any of these products really do, but I just know they are for females and
01:05people will buy them.
01:06It's not a crazy corporate site.
01:07It doesn't look the greatest, but from 2023, it was working.
01:11Now, when I say it was working, I never stated thousands of dollars or even high six figures,
01:17five figures.
01:18We're talking a couple hundred dollars because I never went and scaled it up.
01:21It was just for YouTube, and this is for YouTube to see if it will work again with a bigger
01:25budget than I did last videos.
01:27A little rundown on the site.

01:52So as you can see, it's nothing special, but it's very simple.
01:57It's easy for people to buy, and that's the main point when it comes for me making a store.
02:01I want to make sure it's an easy checkout process so people can go ahead and look at
02:06the product and buy.
02:07Am I a Shopify expert?
02:09No, but I've made some sales, and I think I can get this to work.
02:13Now, the real reason I'm making this challenge video is because I want to use one technique
02:17with Snapchat ads.
02:18I've used Snapchat ads not for dropshipping, but for other businesses.
02:22I've spent thousands of dollars on there and made a lot of money off of there promoting
02:26different campaigns, but I've never used it for Shopify dropshipping because I've never
02:29been in a big business on Shopify dropshipping.
02:32So I'm really interested to see if I'm able to do this in 2024, and if I'm able to make
02:37thousands of dollars within this 48 hours with the budget I'm going to spend doing these
02:42advertisements.
02:43And talking about new, let me introduce you to a new thing we're adding to the store.
02:47So in one of our last videos, the product that we chose was the tool to clean up acne.
02:51Now, in this video, since I saw a couple viral TikToks, let's look at them, look how many
02:55views those are.
02:56Those are millions of views.
02:57It was the acupuncture foot pad.
02:59Now, you walk on it, it has a bunch of rocks, and apparently it's supposed to make your
03:03feet happy and your face smile.
03:06So we're going to be using that, and we got to create an ad for that.
03:09So here are a couple of the popular videos on TikTok that got millions of views, and
03:12it's just people normally using the mat.
03:15So what I'm going to do is I'm going to go on CapCut here, and we could see that I took
03:19a bunch of these videos, so look at the whole list that I have there, a bunch of people
03:22using this mat.
03:23So what I did here was we're going to put this down here, and look at all the editing
03:27that I did.
03:28Now I did a different sound, I did different captions, and I'll show you the trick to what
03:31I did for the captions.
03:32But most importantly, the voiceover I did completely with AI.
03:36So this is our ad.
03:37It looks pretty good.
03:38It's catchy, persuading, and people will buy the product.
03:41Now if we don't have captions on here, nobody's going to understand what's going on.
03:45They're going to have to hear the video.
03:46So what I did was I used our good friend, ChadGBT, to put auto captions on, and it made
03:51them look fancy, made them look nice, and overall, very appealing.

04:06So for the voiceover, you may be wondering, why in the world is it doing ASMR?

04:10Well, think about it.
04:11You're using that to make your feet feel good, and it's relaxing.
04:15What if an ASMR voice was talking to you in an ad that's relaxing?
04:19So I thought that could go pretty well together, and I may as well gave it a try.
04:22So that's what I did there.
04:23Now, when creating an ad, this is the most important part.
04:26Where are you going to market the ad?
04:27We're going to do that on Snapchat.
04:28To do that, we need to go back to the studio.
04:30I come to interrupt you to tell you about .store.
04:33The reason why I changed to a .store domain name is because imagine this.
04:37You're looking at different website URLs, and you see mine, and it says .store.
04:41What do you think it's going to be?
04:43It's going to be a place where you're going to be able to buy my product, and that's exactly
04:47why I changed, because people have the perception that it's going to be a store.
04:51Very inexpensive for your first year as well.
04:54They hook you up with a great discount, and then it carries on.
04:56Personally, I think it's one of the best domain names.
04:58I've been using .store for a very long time.
05:00When they came to me, they said, hey, you want to sponsor?
05:03I'm like, heck yeah, baby.
05:04I was going to change anyway.
05:06So let's get this done.
05:07Plus, it's a very trusted domain service.
05:09If you have something like .yogabear445, nobody's going to believe that.
05:13Use any trusted domain services, for example, like GoDaddy.
05:16I just used Shopify for mine, switched it right over, plugged in my name, bada bang,
05:19bada boom.
05:20Bought it on ahead.
05:21Only nine bucks.
05:22Loved it.
05:23Or use get.store.
05:24Go there.
05:25It's a great website as well, and you can see what you can get for your buck.

05:32It's time to market our product, and I actually made some ads on what I said I would do, Snapchat.
05:37And guess what happened?
05:38They got declined.
05:39So I have no idea why this ad got declined on Snapchat.
05:42I've used other people's content and put it together and made it my own, made it my own,
05:47and it got approved.
05:48But for some reason, it didn't get approved, and it got declined.
05:50So I tried everything.
05:52I tried restructuring the ad, moving different clips.
05:55Nothing worked, and it ultimately just got declined, declined, declined, declined, and
05:59it never got approved.
06:01So I tried to go over to TikTok, and both of my TikTok accounts are banned.
06:05So we couldn't do a Snapchat ad.
06:07We couldn't do a TikTok ad.
06:08So what were we gonna do?
06:09Well, what we ended up doing was we went on the TikTok account of FitRevolution.
06:13I actually took an account that I had in the past that had about 600 followers, and I changed
06:18that account, the username, deleted all the videos, and I made it the brand store name
06:22for FitRevolution.
06:24So I deleted all those videos, and I posted the video of the ad that I made.
06:29And what I did on there is with TikTok, if you post a video on your account, you can
06:33promote that post to other people.
06:35So you spend the same amount of money.
06:36It's technically an ad, but it's a video on TikTok that you're just promoting to get more
06:41engagement.
06:42So I did that, and it went pretty dang well.
06:45So this is the account right here, FitRevolution store, and this is the video right here.
06:51So it's just the ad plain, and I'll show you how much money I spent on the ad, and it got
06:554,000 views and how many link clicks it got.
06:59So we're going to the promote feature right here, and I'll show you the dashboard that
07:03I had, and right here, we can see it.
07:06So you can see I spent $15 on promoting this video, so an ad.
07:12I got one new follower, woo-hoo, and I got 42 profile views and 3.2K video views.
07:19The crazy thing is I don't have 1,000 followers on this account, so they can't click a link
07:23of bio because I can't put a link of my bio because you need 1,000 followers on TikTok
07:26to do so.
07:28So it's crazy that I missed out on 42, basically, views on my profile that probably wanted to
07:33click my link.
07:34So that sucked, but we got five likes on there and 34 button clicks.
07:38So the 34 button clicks went to FitRevolution.store, went to the product page, and we actually
07:44got an order, maybe, let me show you.
07:47So this was from May 25th all the way to May 26th, and the reason why I put the two days
07:52is because I didn't post or promote this video at the beginning of May 25th.
07:57It was later in the night, so it carried on to the next day.
08:00We got 33 sessions, so 33 people to go on our website, and we got one sale, maybe.
08:07That's what I'm talking about, one order, 3% conversion rate, which is really good,
08:12actually.
08:13So we did really well on this ad.
08:14We made $30 and we spent $15.
08:18So it cost $30 for that product, and the cost for that product is $2.56 on AliExpress, so
08:26very cheap, and the shipping cost that we paid for is $7.32.
08:30The small order fee is about 20 cents, so it comes out to about $10.
08:34So we made a $20 profit, which is really good.
08:37That's gross profit.
08:39So hopefully we can get some more orders and we can get some more deal flow coming in and
08:43execute more profit.
08:45Okay, so I quickly want to show you why it's been a week later than the first time I promoted
08:51this ad, because yet again, this is a 48-hour dropshipping challenge, not a whole week.
08:57So as you can see here, from May 25th, the day we promoted the ad, to June 2nd, which
09:02is today, I got 70 sessions and one sale, as you already saw.
09:05So the reason why it's been a week later and not 48 hours is because this week I actually
09:11graduated high school.
09:12So where I'm at in America, where I live, graduating high school was a really big deal.
09:17So I had a ton of events I had to go to, and it was really fun, and I had to put this
09:21challenge on pause for a whole week.
09:23But that's the reason why it's been a week later.
09:25But don't get confused because nobody was able to buy a product when I put this challenge
09:29on pause, meaning I stopped the checkout process, like you could not buy something.
09:34The reason why I did that was because, again, this is 48 hours, I didn't want to cheat because
09:38looking at the organic flow, it looked like somebody was actually going to eventually
09:41purchase, maybe.
09:43So that's why it's been a week later, because I did graduate high school.
09:45Either way, let's promote this ad one more time and see how many more sales we can get
09:51in the next 24 hours.
09:52So in the first 24 hours, we spent $15 in ads to get an order.
09:57And remember, we make $20 a profit per order we get for this mat.
10:01So we made a profit of $5 in the first 24 hours.
10:04So I think it's time to up the budget amount on this ad, and let's do a $20 ad on this
10:10one.
10:11I'm going to press the order history here.
10:12I'm just going to say promote again.
10:13I'm going to do $30 for this one.
10:15I'm going to double it because we did make a small profit, and I know this works.
10:20So let's see what it could do for us with $30, doubling the budget of the first 24 hours.
10:25And we're purchasing it right now.
10:27It's paying, and our purchase was all set.
10:29We're ready to go.
10:30That ad's going to go ahead and get us those sales.
10:33So hopefully, we'll be able to get some sales, and that was actually $41.
10:37So let me bring up this point because I did purchase this under Apple.
10:42So I'm on the TikTok app.
10:43I got to do it through Apple, and Apple charges a fee, which is horrible.
10:47So as you just saw, that was $41.
10:50So instead of it being $30, it's actually $41, which I didn't realize.
10:53So we're actually making way less profit.
10:55So on our other one, that was probably like $20-something, so we probably lost profit.
11:00Oh, shoot.

11:05made.
11:06But here's a big thing.
11:07As I just showed, Apple charges a fee per purchase on an iPhone, which I actually didn't
11:11realize.
11:12Instead of putting an ad out on a browser, computer, whatever, it's on Apple.
11:16It's the app, and Apple charges a fee.
11:18So instead of $30 we spent, it was $41.
11:21So that's a big difference, and we've got to take an account for that.
11:24So tomorrow, we're going to have to add all that up to see if we were profitable.
11:27And hopefully, we can get a couple sales with this.
