Black bear filmed lurking outside assisted living facility in ‘rare’ moment

Tammy Sinn, a physical therapist assistant / program director at the Benedictine Senior Living Community At The Shrine, took this video of a black bear seen outside the senior living center in west Belleville on Monday.

00:00Oh look at him, he's lost. Oh my gosh, he's looking at me.

00:22I know if we went out, what if we were all walking outside today sister?

00:28What would we do? I don't know, they say you just keep going on the way you are.

00:33But he's like trapped inside the, I wonder if he knows his way back out of the courtyard.

00:38I don't know, he'll discover.

00:45Well he's not going to get in there. He's going to another way, he's going to all the windows.

00:49There's a bear. There's a bear, come here Mary Lou.

00:59See it Mary Lou, look out here, it's right by the tree.

01:05Yeah, it's lost. You want to go out and have a good time at home?

01:12Oh my gosh, isn't it a ride? He just keeps looking in the windows.

01:16Yeah, I wonder if they got to call somebody. Oh he's like pawing at it.

01:22He can probably open it. Oh look at him, he is, he's pawing, oh he's trying to get that door open.

01:28Hopefully it's locked. Yeah, I hope so too.

01:35I wonder if I should tell somebody with a front.
