00:00Namaskar, welcome to One India. I am Yogesh Ranta and with me is my co-host Keshav Karn.
00:06And we have a special guest with us today, Mr. Shahid Ali. He is an advocate in the Supreme Court of India.
00:11And today we are talking about the Work Board Amendment Act 2024, which has been presented in the Lok Sabha today.
00:19What can be the legal aspects of this and what are the things that are being said about this.
00:25To know more about this, we have Mr. Shahid Ali with us. Welcome, Mr. Shahid.
00:30We would like to know from you directly about the bill that is being brought in 2024.
00:35It is being said that the bill of 2095 will be replaced and there are attempts to bring it as amendments.
00:41But there have been voices of opposition and support.
00:45How are you looking at this amendment and what are the aspects that are going to affect everything?
00:54This bill is anti-Muslim, anti-Constitution, anti-Secularism, anti-Basic Structure of Constitution of India,
01:08anti-Article 14, Article 15, Article 25, Article 26, Article 30 of Constitution of India.
01:15This bill is anti-diversity, for which India is known.
01:19This bill is anti-Sovereignty, anti-Unity of India, anti-People.
01:32This bill is being brought in because they were showing this dream to the whole of India.
01:41They were dreaming that they will make a Hindu state.
01:45They were asking for 400 parks.
01:48But the people of India rejected it.
01:50The people of India rejected it.
01:52The people of India did not even give them a majority.
01:57So, they are completely dissatisfied with it.
02:00They are looking for a backdoor.
02:02They want to please the people who they consider to be their vote bank.
02:07The people who they consider to be their vote bank think that by torturing Muslims, they will be happy.
02:19That is why they are trying to torture Muslims.
02:22That is why they are trying to bring this bill.
02:27Well, Mr. Shahid, I have a question.
02:30As you said that this bill is anti-Muslim, anti-social, anti-establishment.
02:37Could you please take us through some of the provisions of this bill,
02:41which you think is really anti-social or anti-Muslim or for that matter anything?
02:48Okay.
02:49Now, the proposal is that they want to induct two or three non-Muslims in the committee or in the board of this Waqf.
03:00Now, please tell me if I suggest someone to include the name of Muslims in the committee or in the board of Hindus Mandir or any other trust or any other institution.
03:17For that matter, Hindus Mandirs are already under the government's board.
03:22The government has direct control over there.
03:25There are lots of...
03:27Sir, please do not confuse.
03:29Sir, please do not confuse.
03:31TTDS, Tirupati Devasthanam Trust.
03:35Sir, please do not confuse.
03:37That is governed by a board which includes the people from all sects and communities of the society.
03:44No, absolutely not. Please do not confuse it.
03:46Now, as far as the Waqf Board is concerned, the chairman of Waqf Council, who used to be the minister,
03:53now minister, who is the minister in India?
03:55He is not a Muslim, but he is the chairman.
03:58So, this presently is also there.
04:00Now, in the body, which is called the Waqf Board, now they want to introduce two or three Hindus.
04:07What is this? What is the meaning of that?
04:09Should I take it in that perspective that I ask you, Mr. Khan, to include my name in your properties?
04:18Whether you will allow?
04:20Now, these properties are ours.
04:22These properties are dedicated by Muslims only.
04:25In the name of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Allah has become the owner.
04:28Now, they want to intrude upon these properties?
04:30Since we hold these much properties, therefore, they are having bad eye over our properties?
04:37Is this justified?
04:39If you have the power, if you have the power in parliament in Lok Sabha,
04:43now in Rajasthan, you don't have power.
04:45So, you will do whatever you want to do.
04:47Now, recently we have seen the result of power in Bangladesh.
04:56So, they have been exercising unduly.
04:59No, Mr. Shahid, if you look at it this way,
05:01the things you said about Hindu Trusts and other institutions,
05:07what will the Muslim people get in that, and other things,
05:10but this is also happening because a law has been made, an act has been made,
05:15and after the act passed in the parliament, this board comes under it.
05:20So, if changes are made in this,
05:22there is also talk of Muslim women's representation in this,
05:25that they will also get representation.
05:27So, where will the problem arise in this,
05:31that if the rules and regulations are made in a legal way,
05:34and the board runs in a legal way,
05:36within the Muslim community, there have been many allegations
05:39that there is a kind of monopoly of some people there.
05:42So, if there are some good changes in this,
05:45then can't there be any harm in that?
05:49This is the miscommunication.
05:51This is the miscommunication.
05:52Muslim women are still members of the board.
05:55The chairman of the Delhi Work Board was also a woman.
05:58And there is still a woman in the Delhi Work Board.
06:01Rana Barwin Siddiqui, who used to come from the advocate community,
06:04has also been the chairman.
06:05She has been a member for about 20 years.
06:07This is miscommunication.
06:09That women don't come.
06:11Women have complete representation.
06:13It is not forbidden at all.
06:15It is not forbidden at all.
06:16This is completely miscommunication.
06:17Now see, the aspect of the act that you are talking about,
06:20this is miscommunication.
06:22Secondly, we have consulted all the Muslims.
06:25Which Muslims did you consult?
06:27Tell me, on record,
06:29if they have ever given any ad
06:31that we are going to change the work board.
06:34Give us your suggestions.
06:36I am not talking about slave Muslims.
06:39I am not talking about government Muslims.
06:41Tell me, where did you consult common people?
06:43Secondly, listen to me.
