00:00I could never have imagined that I would be an Olympic medalist,
00:03or even a gold medalist when I went off to Harvard to run track.
00:08I would tell myself to keep believing in myself and do what you love,
00:14as I would tell any young girl who's going into any part of their life
00:19or going to college.
00:20I believe what got me to this point was my growing love for the sport.
00:25It was my personal growth.
00:27I think Harvard was a great foundation for me.
00:30It laid the groundwork for me to be here now.
00:33It was just an organic journey for me, and I would encourage
00:36anyone to do it that way.
00:39Just go where you're comfortable.
00:40Go where you can grow.
00:41Go where you're happy, and you will be successful.
00:44I tried not to get ahead of myself before this race,
00:47but I thought, OK, if I get an Olympic gold medal today, what's next for me?
00:51Because I've accomplished almost everything
00:54that I have wanted to do up until this point.
00:57I got my undergraduate degree in neurobiology at Harvard,
01:01which was my dream.
01:02I went and got my master's in public health,
01:03and now I'm an Olympic champion.
01:05I don't know what's next, and I will figure that out.
01:08But for now, I'm just really enjoying where I'm at.
