Baby Goat "Beeps" At His Mom Who Saved Him

Baby goat was so small that he fit in a bowl when he was rescued! His mom told us how he learned to walk — then run! — and how he "beeps" at her when he wants to go home ❤️

00:00When I saw him struggling breathing, I knew that I had to kind of intervene.

00:15So the first couple days it was really touch and go, like constant feeding.

00:21I had to snuggle him because he couldn't maintain his body temperature.

00:24So I took him everywhere with me, even the supermarket.

00:29He was so weak.

00:33The first days I stayed awake nonstop because I was convinced if I left him alone, he wasn't

00:39going to be alive anymore.

00:48I can't even describe how that made me feel.

01:05And then every day he just got better and better.

01:12In the weeks that followed, he started getting stronger and stronger.

01:24And the bus was kind of his playground.

01:36Never did I imagine that we would have one in the bus with us.

01:39He's three months old now, so we're starting to wean him.

01:42Every morning we hop out of bed.

01:43He still sleeps in bed with me at this point.

01:45We have our coffee.

01:46We have our bottle.

01:47And then we walk down the pasture.

01:53And I normally leave him in the pasture for the first part of the day where he hangs out

01:57with the rest of our herd of goats.

01:59Around midday, sometimes I'll hear him beeping across the field at me and he starts calling

02:03me.

02:04I go beep, beep back and he calls back to me and we go beep, beep.

02:05Yeah, I'm here.

02:23Then after seeing his bottle, he either spends time with me, like doing chores.

02:29Sometimes he'll go back up to the pasture with the goats.

02:31I kind of let him choose where he goes at this point.

02:35At night, he comes back here.

02:37Oh, hi, buddy.

02:38Hi.

02:39Did you have fun with the goats?

02:40Oh, hi.

02:41And then at some point, he might decide to stay in the barn.

02:50But at this point, he just kind of comes and goes as he pleases.

02:55To see him not just having survived, but thriving and being this like spunky little goat with

03:02so much personality.

03:03It's very rewarding.
