Phoenix Animal Rescue Horsham is seeing an increase in animal surrenders as pet owners are hit by the cost of living crisis.

00:00So Phoenix Animal Rescue is a rescue group that is based in family times, so all of our animals

00:09in foster care. We have a significant number of animals in care at the moment, so lots of dogs,

00:16puppies, adult cats and kittens, or teenage kittens. So some of the challenges are obviously

00:22the numbers coming in and the need to find those that are in our care,

00:29homes. We obviously vet, check, do the vaccinations, microchipping and desexing.

00:35So the real challenge is getting people on board to either foster or to adopt.
