Protesters clash in Liverpool, Leeds and Nottingham

Riot police have been involved in face-offs with protesters across the UK as ministers are expected to meet to discuss the potential for further widespread disorder following a night of “unforgivable” violence in Sunderland.The far-right has drawn condemnation from MPs across the political spectrum after disorder in London, Manchester, Southport and Hartlepool over the past three days.
