00:00Nicolas Garcia has been diving since he was six.

00:07Twenty-three years later, he and dive partner Adrián Abadía have had their best ever year

00:12in the three-metre synchro, winning silver at the European Championships and a historic

00:17bronze at the Doha Worlds.

00:20It was Spain's first ever diving World Championship medal.

00:24Now a first Olympic podium in diving beckons.

00:45Adrián is a rising star at 22.

00:48When he and Nico started diving together, there was an instant calm chemistry.

00:54We're basically like a couple because we live together too, but it's very comfortable.

00:59We're water, the two of us.

01:01It's quite comfortable working with Nico.

01:04When the Spanish duo won bronze in Doha, the Chinese pair of Long Daoyi and Wang Zhongyuan

01:09topped the podium and are favourites to be champions in France too.

01:15China's diving dominance is almost complete.

01:18They won seven of eight available gold medals in Tokyo and are looking to repeat that performance

01:24in Paris.

01:25But look out for Spain's three-metre synchro pair of Nicolás García and Adrián Abadía,

01:31who have their sights set on a podium in Paris too.
