00:00And Adam Schefter tweet yesterday, Chargers announced Justin Herbert was diagnosed with

00:09an injury to the plantar fascia in his right foot.

00:12Per the team, quote, doctors have recommended approximately two weeks in a boot, followed

00:16by a graduated return to play protocol.

00:19So just starting there, you're getting ready for your season.

00:23It's a new regime, Joe Lisi.

00:25Boy, this is bad news, because if your quarterback is not going to run that new offense over

00:29the next couple of weeks and expected just to be parachuting in in September to play,

00:34this isn't a good start for Harbaugh here.

00:36No, it's not.

00:37And I've had that injury and we talked about it.

00:40It is very painful, could linger throughout the regular season.

00:44I'm shocked, guys, that this team has a price better than the Cleveland Browns, a team that

00:49made the playoffs with the first year head coach, Jim Harbaugh, excuse me, get him confused

00:55with his brother, that won a national championship with Michigan.

00:59Now they're plus one or two or right there, almost even money to make the playoffs is

01:03mind boggling to me.

01:04I don't even think they're the second best team in the AFC West.

01:08Jim Harbaugh is going to weed out the players that fit his roster and don't fit his roster.

01:13He's going to bring back physicality to the offense and defense lines.

01:17And that's not a one year fix.

01:19That's a two or three year fix.

01:20And now that Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are no longer on that roster and Austin Eckler,

01:26I think there's going to be growing pains in year one.

01:28So again, I'm selling the Chargers along with the Bears.

01:31I don't think they make the playoffs this year.

01:33I think Jim Harbaugh is the right coach, but this is a huge blow to the offense, having

01:39Justin Herbert out of preseason right now.

01:43It's not even close.

01:44I mean, new, you got Greg Roman, right?

01:47Your new OC, you got the new coach Harbaugh.

01:50You have an entire new wide receiving core, right?

01:53And now all of a sudden you're gone.

01:55Nowhere to be found.

01:56Don't just say, Joe, that he spends the next two weeks in a boot, which means he won't

02:00be out of the boot and won't be able to gradually start practicing until at least August 15th

02:06or 16th.

02:07Their final camp practice is August 22nd.

02:09The season opens September 8th.

02:11If there's any setbacks, how in the hell is he going to be ready for game one in the season?

02:16You better brush up on Easton Stick's knowledge, I guess here.

02:21Easton Stick was a train wreck last year.

02:23I mean, absolutely.

02:24Look at that game against Las Vegas where they got blown out.

02:28He was absolutely atrocious.

02:30So again, this isn't North Dakota State.

02:32You know, you're not playing inside the dome, you're playing now with Jim Harbaugh that

02:37is expected to win at least nine or 10 games.

02:40Again, I think Justin Herbert will play potentially week one, week two, maybe if they keep him

02:46out, but it doesn't matter.

02:47It's still that they have such a high win total and such high expectations.

02:52In year number one, what a complete new offensive defensive scheme.

02:56And this team had one of the worst defense under Brandon Staley.

03:03He's gone.

03:04It's unbelievable in terms of the expectations that we put on the LA Chargers and all they

03:09do is fail.

03:10I'm sorry, guys, selling Harbaugh on year number one.
