Plans for Putrajaya and Shanghai to be sister cities are underway, says Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming.  During the presentation of the ministry's half-year report on Friday (Aug 2), Nga mentioned his working visit to Shanghai found several areas that Malaysia could learn from, especially its smart city initiative. 00:06the government is now negotiating with China

00:11to form the Smart City Alliance with Shanghai.

00:16Shanghai being the world's largest smart city.

00:19So we are hoping to have a sister city,

00:23sister city Putrajaya with Shanghai.

00:42It is amazing, the progress that they have made

00:45in terms of their smart city initiative.
