Sicilian farmers are urging the government to implement long-term solutions as extreme heat and a year-long drought raised concerns about the future of agriculture.

01:10on average less water. And so there are three things that any society, in particular Sicily,

01:15will have to do. The first and most important thing is ask yourself whether you're using

01:19the water, the scarce water, for the right things. And that means looking at agriculture.

01:24Water is proving precious for thirsty animals and locals.
