Olympics : at Nations' park visitors can travel the world without leaving Paris

This is the first time in the history of the Olympic Games that so many countries are gathered in the same place.

00:00In the sprawling park northeast of Paris, visitors can travel the world in just a few minutes without ever leaving the French capital.

00:1115 countries have set up their hospitality houses in the Parc de la Villette,

00:16allowing visitors to discover different cultures, taste local food, and even perhaps meet some Olympic athletes.

00:23The biggest house is unsurprisingly Club France, which can welcome up to 20,000 people.

00:29Next door is the second biggest one, the Team Netherlands house.

00:34Surrounded by a sea of orange, the official color of the country,

00:37visitors can watch some of the competitions during the day and later dance the night away.

00:43It's a vibe to be all around Dutch people. Everything is orange.

00:47You have Dutch food here, Dutch clothes, so we're trying to make a little home for the Dutch people.

00:55Crossing the park's canal is the vibrant India house.

00:58The organizers highlighted the country's rich culture, where visitors can see traditional carpet weaving

01:04and also get some Olympics-inspired henna tattoos.

01:14Just a couple of minutes away is the Mongolia house, decked out with yurts

01:18and showcasing traditional activities like knuckle bone shooting and archery.

01:24This is the first time in the history of the Olympics that so many countries are gathered in the same place,

01:30and visitors are clearly taking advantage of this mini-trip around the world.

01:35First we visited Casa Mexico and saw one of the athletes, Gibran.

01:40Then we visited Casa Brasil and had a drink with Acai.

01:44Then we saw a very interesting fight here in Casa Mongolia.

01:48Other houses include the Brazil house, where visitors can play beach volleyball and basketball or sip a cool cocktail.

01:55The houses will be accessible to visitors during the whole period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer in Paris.
