DESCRIPTION : How to indicate the year, the season, the month, the day of the week and a precise date in French ? This is what we are going to study in this new Grammar lesson for beginners. This lesson is the part 1 of a series of 3 lessons about how to express Time in French for Level A1.
CONTENT OF THE VIDEO : 1/ Indicating the year : we use the preposition « EN » - Ex : Nous sommes EN 2024. - Ex : Il va partir en 2025. 2/ Indicating the month : we use the preposition « EN » - Ex : Nous sommes en août. - Ex : Il va partir en juin. 3/ Indicating the season : we use ... « EN » for « été », « automne » et « hiver » - Ex : Nous sommes en été. - Ex : Il va partir en automne. - Ex : Elle fait du ski en hiver. « AU » for « printemps » 4/ Indicating the day of the week : No preposition in front of the day of the week - Ex : Je viens lundi. - Ex : Il sort de l’hôpital dimanche 5/ Indicating a precise date : we use the definite determiner « LE » - Ex : Je viens le 12 mars. - Ex : Il sort de l’hôpital le lundi 15.
