00:00Ray Chan is our production designer who created a world unlike anything I've ever seen for
00:10Deadpool and Wolverine.
00:11It's hard enough to make a movie on this scale and to figure out how to build in real life
00:17things that only existed in our imagination.
00:22Time and again, Ray would find a way to do that and to do it with tenacity and diligence
00:28and just this tireless joy.
00:32Every time we've played back this movie, we have to marvel at what Ray built.
00:41And then when you say a filmmaker, a lot of people think of directors, writers, producers,
00:47stars, but Ray is a filmmaker.
00:50Ray is a storyteller.
00:52What he gave us in those environments was the thing that I think is the DNA of the movie.
01:00It really can't be overstated the amazing amount of work that Ray did for us at Marvel
01:05and his passion and his artistry really did create the MCU as fans around the world know
01:11it to be today.
01:12And every single of the ten projects we've worked on together, every single one of those
01:17sets I would walk around with Ray as he would talk about.
01:21The work that had gone into it and the work that they still had to do.
01:24And Ray had a lot of work left to do and it is a great sadness to all of us that we won't
01:29be able to see it, but a great joy that we'll get to see everything that he did for us over
01:34these many years.
01:37I would say the happiest moment for myself is when I see a design executed, fully lit,
01:47dressed, with the actors in costume and the director and the DP making a film.
01:56That's my happiest moment.
