The Royal Hotel Kettering owner

Na’ím Paymán, the owner of the Royal Hotel, is refurbishing the historic hotel as a Paymán Weddings venue.

00:00So we've just started stripping everything out a couple of weeks ago, and we're almost done with the strip-out.

00:06We found some amazing things, like some original Victorian mosaic flooring on the ground floor,

00:12and these lovely fireplaces in almost every room, which have just been bricked up.

00:16I guess people were trying to be modern and forward-thinking, but I really love those original features,

00:24and we're trying to restore as much as we can.

00:27Now that we can take a look and see where the walls are at, and how we can reconfigure some of the bathrooms,

00:33which were really unnecessarily large compared to the size of some of the tiny bedrooms,

00:39we can start to plan and to think and see what we can do to get the place to where we want it to be.

00:46Well, we want it to be a luxury hotel that offers a very comfortable and impressive stay for anyone who decides to come,

00:55and for people to want to come back again and again.

00:57We want it to be a hub for the local community, and we also want it to be a sought-after wedding venue,

01:05but also a conference centre, given its location in the centre of England.

01:10It's got the potential to be something really out of this world,

01:15so I guess we're just blessed in a way to be its custodians and try to get the most out of it for now.
