00:00The official first day of the 2024 Olympics are in the books, and we're here to crown the top
00:05moments of the day, so let's head to the Paris podium. Coming in at number one is our diving
00:09duo with the coolest nickname, Cook and Bacon. Less than 24 hours after the opening ceremony,
00:15Americans Sarah Bacon and Cassidy Cook secured the U.S.'s first medals of the games. They finished
00:21with silver in the women's synchronized three-meter springboard final. Coming in at number two is a
00:26performance by a man almost as tall as the Eiffel Tower himself, yes, Mr. Victor Wimbenyama. Wimby
00:33tallied 19 points, nine rebounds, four steals, three blocks, two assists, and made it look
00:39effortless in his Olympic debut. Any team going up against him should be scared. Coming in at
00:43number three, we head to the pool where Katie Ledecky took home bronze in the 400 meters,
00:48an event in which she used to hold the world record, one gold in Rio, and silver in Tokyo.
00:53We have to give an honorable mention to our U.S. women's water polo team.
00:58The Americans blew out Greece 15 to 6 in their opening match. Not only that, but it was a
01:03star-studded event with first lady Jill Biden attending, as well as the team's newest sponsor,
01:08Flavor Flav. Here's what's on deck for Sunday at the Paris Olympics.
