00:00Thank you. Thank you so much. And I also want to thank Charlie Kirk and the organizations
00:16for putting together something like this. It's wonderful. You know, we are one nation
00:23under God. You know, we allow those words to roll off of our tongue, but we have people
00:29who are saying, we're not a Christian nation, we're not a godly nation, we are a secular
00:36nation. But tell me, if our founding document says that our rights come from our creator,
00:45doesn't that mean something? If the Pledge of Allegiance says we are one nation under
00:51God, doesn't that mean something? If many courtrooms on the wall, it says in God we
00:56trust, doesn't that mean something? If every coin in our pocket and every bill in our wallet
01:01says in God we trust, doesn't that mean something? And the people who say that you're not supposed
01:06to talk about God, I think they manifest schizophrenia. Because that's who we are. And it is our relationship
01:17with God that has allowed us to go from a ragtag bunch of militiamen to the pinnacle
01:24of the world in record time. God is always there. And you think about the very beginning,
01:32George Washington, who had great faith in God. And think about the Battle of Monongah
01:39Hill during the French and Indian War, where he was a carrier for General Braddock, back
01:44and forth. All the other carriers were killed. He had two horses shot from beneath him. He
01:49had four bullet holes in his coat. He had bullet fragments in his hair, but no wounds.
01:56And many years later, one of the Indian chiefs knew that he was going to be in the area.
02:03He was elderly and he was going to die soon. He said, carry me to see that man. And when
02:09he was in George Washington's presence, he said, sir, I am an expert marksman. And I
02:15shot you several times. And my men shot you several times. And pretty soon I tell them,
02:22stop wasting their bullets. Because it wasn't going to hurt you. And I just wanted to be
02:28in the presence of the man who is protected by the great spirits above. Think about that.
02:37Now, fast forward to two weeks ago, 59 miles from that same spot, when an assassin tried
02:50to bring down Donald Trump, God intervened in that case too, because he has something
02:56for him to do. And you know, God is always there in our lives if we look for him. You
03:08know, when I was a teenager, mild mannered Ben Carson with a temper? Well, when I was
03:1714, I tried to stab another youngster. And fortunately he had a large metal belt buckle
03:24on under his clothing and a knife blade struck with such force that it broke and he fled
03:28in terror. But I was more terrified because I realized I was trying to kill somebody over
03:35nothing. And I went into the bathroom and locked the door and started contemplating
03:42my life. I had gotten over my poor academic performance. I was a stellar student at that
03:49time. But I realized with a temper like that, my only options were the grave, reform school,
04:00or prison. And I didn't like any of those options. And I just prayed. And there was
04:07a Bible and I picked it up and there were all these verses about anger. Like Proverbs
04:1219, 19, it says there's no point trying to get an angry man out of trouble because he's
04:16just going to get back into it. But encouraging verses like Proverbs 16, 32, mightier is the
04:22man who can control his temper than the man who can conquer a city. Verse after verse,
04:27chapter after chapter, they all seem like they were written about me. And I came to
04:33an understanding while I was in that bathroom that the reason that I was so angry is because
04:41I was selfish. Because it was always about me. Me, my, and I. And if I could take myself
04:48out of the center of the circle and let it be about other people, it wouldn't be a problem
04:52for me anymore. And it was that realization that changed my life. Now fast forward several
05:02years and there I was as a surgeon, chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins.
05:11And there, where you develop these very vascular tumors in the central nervous system. He had
05:19developed one in his brain stem. That's an area that's considered inoperable. It's like
05:24a coaxial cable. Everything is absolutely vital. And none of the adult neurosurgeons
05:35would do anything. He was an adult. His wife happened to be a nurse on the pediatric neurosurgery
05:45service. So I couldn't escape her. And she said, you're going to have to operate on my
05:52husband. I said, but I'm a pediatric neurosurgeon. And she said, well, he acts like a child.
06:03But she just kept after me. And I finally said, okay, I will go and talk to him. And
06:08I spoke to him and I said, Craig, you know, this is an inoperable area. There's a reason
06:15that nobody wants to operate on this. I said, if I operate on you, there's at least a 50
06:21to 50 chance that you will die on the table. And he said, doc, if you don't operate, there's
06:28a hundred percent chance that I'm going to die. I said, that sounds pretty mature. So
06:33I took him to the operating room and it was very difficult. He'd grown a lot of new vessels
06:40into the area. And under the microscope, I made a very tiny incision in the brain stem,
06:48took the little micro probe and pushed until I felt something that felt different, which
06:55would be the capsule of the tumor. Put in a little micro grasper, grabbed the tumor.
07:01Couldn't see it. Started pulling it out and using a little micro instrument to free it
07:07from the attachments. And then the evoked potentials went flat. The electrical activity
07:12of the brain, flat. And the anesthesiologist said, I see, I told you you were going to
07:19kill him. He was very much against the operation. The attitude was very somber at that point.
07:29But I got the tumor out. We closed them up. He was on complete life support. Wasn't showing
07:37any function. But we prayed, his wife and I, we prayed that God would intervene. And
07:51the next morning when I came into the ICU, he was sitting up in the bed, had been extubated
07:57and was telling jokes. And you know, what you were seeing there, this is how God works.
08:13He takes the knife out of the hand of an angry teenager and replaces it with a scalpel to
08:21save lives. That's what God can do. We just have to be aware and we have to be looking
08:34for these signs of things that he does. But it's so important right now that we understand
08:43that he is there. Sometimes it looks pretty bleak out there, the things that are happening
08:50in our society. But he's there. And he's there to save us. But we have to seek his face and
08:58turn from our wicked ways, like it says in 2 Chronicles 7, 14. You know, some people
09:04think that this is all of recent origin, all of these things that are going on in our society.
09:10It is not of recent origin. Ever since the very beginning, there have been those who
09:16were detractors of our system, who said, you can't have a system that's run by the
09:21will of the people. You have to have a monarch. That started way back before we even had our
09:27constitution. Now you have people who want to throw God out. And aren't you proud of
09:35the states of Louisiana and Oklahoma for saying, we'll put the Ten Commandments back in this
09:41school? And we will begin to read the Bible again? Think about. But if you look at the
09:58congressional record, January the 10th, 1963, you will see that all of this stuff has been
10:05going on for decades. It was written to the congressional record by Congressman Hurlong
10:11of Florida. The 45 goals of communism in America. One of which was to gain control of the public
10:22schools and the teacher unions so you could indoctrinate the kids. Gain control of Hollywood
10:31and the news media so that you could manipulate the people. Gain control of one or both political
10:39parties. We know which one. Think about all those kinds of things. Make promiscuity and
10:50pornography common things. Make sexual perversion normal, natural, and healthy. Drive wedges
11:01between parents and children. Denigrate the role of the family. Change the function of
11:09the church from the real gospel to the social gospel. Have you noticed that's happening
11:16in our churches? That people are not standing for the word of God, but they're putting their
11:23finger up in the air and seeing which way the wind is blowing. We have got to be brave because
11:30you cannot be the land of the free if you're not the home of the brave. And yes, there may
11:44be some persecution. You know, look what Peter Navarro went through. And you know, they've come
11:52after me too. They'll come after all of you. But what does that mean? That little bit of
11:58inconvenience against the backdrop of eternity. We have real perspective and we know what things
12:06we need to be afraid of. But I want you to think about a verse that I'm going to read because I
12:16think it sort of tells us who we are and what's going on right now. If I can find it quickly.
12:26It was there. The FBI took it. Okay, here it is. Second Chronicles 4 verses 8 and 9. We are troubled
12:46on every side, yet not distressed. We are perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not forsaken.
13:00Cast down, but not destroyed. Resilience. That's what it's talking about. And you know, that's what we
13:11have and we are blessed with, with our president. You know, our 47th coming president. Now, have you
13:27noticed there are some people who say, I don't like him. He's a bad person. He says bad words. He does
13:37all these things. Guess what? You do not become a real estate mogul in the dog eat dog world of Manhattan
13:45by being a Boy Scout. I'm sorry. I would love it if you did because I'm a Boy Scout. But it explains a lot of
14:01the reasons that he is the way he is. But it's okay. Because, you know, David was a pretty slimy guy, too, in the
14:11Bible. I mean, murder and adultery and deceit. And yet God said he's a man after my own heart. You know why?
14:24Because David said to give me a heart that's after you and restore unto me the joy of thy salvation. He repented. He
14:37turned. He recognized that he needed God in his life. He needed a savior. Guess what? We all need a savior. None of us is
14:47righteous. But God can use virtually anyone for his purposes. And I think somebody who has the kind of strength that we saw
15:06when Donald Trump got shot and got up and raised his hand and said, I'm okay, that is what we need for a leader. We don't need a
15:16weakling for a leader. And, you know, a bunch of people keep asking me the question, why do you think Donald Trump is
15:29attractive to the minority community, to the black and the Hispanic community? I'll tell you why. It's because he believes that a
15:39rising tide lifts all boats. He doesn't pick and choose who should be benefited. And that's what we need. People just want to be
15:47treated the same. They don't want special treatment. They just all want to be treated the same. And you look at the policies that he put
15:56forth and how that positively impacted those communities. The lowest unemployment ever recorded. The highest wages. The highest home
16:09ownership. You know, there were a whole host of things. And people observe those things and they see them. And, you know, I hate the
16:17fact that people sit there and try to say he's a racist. You know, I've known him for many years. I haven't seen anything about him that
16:25even slightly seems racist to me. And, you know, when he moved to Florida, the clubs, most of them were segregated racially and they
16:38didn't admit Jews. Guess who came down and changed that? Donald T. Trump. And I've seen the way that he treats the employees. He knows
16:59their names. He works with them. He loves them. They love him. Unlike Kamala Harris, they stay with him. They don't all leave very soon. That
17:12tells you something very important, doesn't it? About the kind of person that he is. And I know a lot of stories about special things that he has
17:20done for people. He doesn't like to make them public. He doesn't talk about them. But you would be surprised to see the things that he does for
17:31people that he didn't even know who were in need. That's the kind of person that he is. And in terms of efficiency, you know that ice rink in
17:45Manhattan that they were trying to fix for years and years, spent millions of dollars, couldn't get it done. And he said, let me do it. In a matter of
17:56months, he did it for a fraction of the cost. That's the kind of person that he is. For years and years, for years and years, people talked about how
18:07they were going to move the embassy to Jerusalem. He actually did it. Think about that. And to tell you what kind of person he is, you know, early on during
18:24the COVID crisis, I contracted the disease. Now, this is when the first iteration of the disease, it was very deadly. You know, it changed over the
18:36course of time. The COVID that's around now, it's no worse than the common cold. But it was a killer in the beginning because no one had seen it. No one had
18:46immunity to it. And it was deadly. And the fact that a number of people encouraged by him to come up with a vaccine that actually worked and saved a lot of
19:00lives. What happened later on is the virus mutated. It became much less virulent. And then the treatment became worse than the disease. You have to
19:12understand the sequence of things and how they were going at that time. But I contracted it. I almost died. I was on the verge of death. The only thing that
19:24saved me was I was able to get the monoclonal antibody before it was okayed by the FDA, because he signed the papers to allow me to be able to do that. And he reminds me all the time, he says,
19:45you saved all those kids, but I saved you. But he called every day to ask how I was doing. He always was looking after me. And he looks after us because he cares about us. He was already as famous as anybody can be in the world. He already had a ton of money. He didn't have to do this. He loves the United States of America. He loves each one of us.
20:15And after a short video, we will welcome him on stage.
