00:00Here today we stand before you and our colleagues who are on the floor still manning the hospital

00:05because without nurses and midwives essentially the hospital does not run.

00:10So I guess we're here to make the community hear us in our own time rally.

00:26Pay us properly, pay us fair, recognise how much we care.

00:34Fix the mess, stop our distress.

00:39When nurses and midwives are under attack what do we do?

00:46So our wages is just the beginning.

00:49I don't know about you but I know feeding my family with four children

00:53has become a chore.

00:55It is such a distressing weekly occurrence trying to find how many pasta dishes I can cook

01:01for four children.

01:03That's what 15% means to me.

01:05It doesn't mean that I'm not going to be at work any less.

01:09It means less stress at home.

01:11It means I'm able to provide for my family and that means it's a better work and home life balance.

01:19Who's exhausted?

01:22Because we can't retain nurses they're driving 55 minutes to Canberra.

01:27Why wouldn't you?

01:29So what do we want from this government?
