UK airports earn two million pounds each and every day from car parking charges, it's been reported.

00:11Eight in ten drivers who've dropped off or been dropped off at airports in the last year
00:15describe the charges as a rip-off, according to a survey by the RAC.
00:20Four major airports have increased drop-off charges by a pound compared to 2023.
00:24London Gatwick and Bristol now both charge £6 for 10 minutes.
00:29Edinburgh and Birmingham will now both cost you £5 for 10 minutes.
00:32And Glasgow, Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen are putting prices up by 50p since last year.
00:38Fortunately for drivers on drop-off duties, nine airports have frozen their prices this
00:42year. On a cost-per-minute basis, however, it's
00:44Manchester that offers drivers the worst value, charging a fiver for just a five-minute stay,
00:49way ahead of the next priciest per minute. Leeds Bradford, which charges the equivalent
