00:00Have you ever heard of a smile dog?
00:06If you were my age and were a fan of creepypastas you must have seen this image on the internet.
00:12The terrifying face of a husky smiling in the shadows and behind him a bloody hand saying
00:17spread the word.
00:19Today this might not cause the greatest fear but back in the day this was really scary.
00:25I was always one of those melancholic people who didn't want to let go of the past.
00:30I was always more attracted to the old than the new and the internet era brought back
00:34a lot of melancholy since I was a teenager.
00:38What I didn't know is that melancholy would bring me a lot of problems because as I learned
00:43one night some things are better forgotten in the past and buried forever.
00:47It all happened one Saturday night at my house.
00:50I had recently separated from my partner so I wasn't in the mood to go out with my friends
00:54or do too much.
00:56I decided to spend that day in the darkness of my room reading old stories, playing video
01:00games and reading creepypastas.
01:03It was in the middle of the day that I discovered a very strange website.
01:08This site was full of popular creepypastas but it was very different from all the other
01:12sites I used to frequent.
01:15Normally all the sites were full of skulls and satanic symbols but this one was different.
01:19This one was normal with simple colors and a rather unusual design.
01:25But at the same time something about it made me uncomfortable.
01:28I felt like I didn't have to look at it but that only tempted me more to read it.
01:34On the page there was a collection of several popular creepypastas but one of them caught
01:39my attention.
01:40It was Smile Dog, one of my favorite creepypastas.
01:44I had already read it several times and I had no reason to click on it and read it again
01:49but something made me do it.
01:51It was as if I was in a trance, as if I was hypnotized to open and read the creepypasta
01:56one more time.
01:58As I read it I couldn't help but feel scared, very scared.
02:03The creepypasta was identical to all the times I had read it but this time it generated something
02:08it had never generated before.
02:10It was as if an oppressive and terrifying energy was coming out of every letter I was
02:15reading.
02:16I started to get dizzy.
02:18I wanted to leave.
02:19I didn't want to continue reading that story.
02:22As fast as I started it, I finished it and to say goodbye I found the picture of Smile
02:27Dog staring at me with his dark and static eyes.
02:32A little dizzy I left the computer and decided to go to bed for a while.
02:36I had had enough of these stories for today.
02:39When I opened my eyes I woke up a bit annoyed.
02:42I was supposed to sleep for about 40 minutes but my alarm clock hadn't gone off and it
02:46was getting dark.
02:48I woke up uncomfortably sleepier than I had been but I had to do things before going to
02:52sleep like cooking and tidying up the house.
02:56I put on my slippers and was about to head to the kitchen but something made me stop.
03:00The house.
03:02Why was it so dark?
03:05No matter how dark it was there was always some light in the house.
03:09There was always light coming in from outside.
03:12There was always some instrument on or the refrigerator was making some noise but this
03:16time it was different.
03:18The house was in absolute darkness and silence and you could barely see what was happening
03:22a few meters ahead of you.
03:24I carefully approached the light switch but even though I tried to turn it on again and
03:28again nothing was happening.
03:31Was there no light on the whole block?
03:34Suddenly I was distracted by a noise behind me.
03:37It came from behind the bed.
03:39It was like a laughter that became more and more intense as the seconds passed.
03:44It was a laugh that sounded familiar but I didn't know from where.
03:49While I was trying to figure out who was in my room I noticed how a figure began to slowly
03:53peek out from behind the bed.
03:56Was it a dog?
03:57No.
03:58But it wasn't just any dog.
04:01It was a husky but it looked very familiar.
04:05As I looked at it something was rising inside of me.
04:09The dog became more and more familiar but at the same time an enormous terror was growing
04:14inside me.
04:16From one second to the next a strong memory came to me.
04:19I recognized that dog.
04:22That was the dog from the creepypasta I had just read.
04:25That was Smile Dog.
04:27Glad that I recognized him the dog gave a big grin from ear to ear.
04:32The smile was the one in the photo but it was much more theatrical in person.
04:37I could see all his teeth at the same time.
04:40His eyes that grew redder and redder with every centimeter that the smile grew longer
04:44and the veins that ran all over his face until they reached the center of his eyes.
04:50This dog was the most terrifying being I had ever seen in my life.
04:54At that moment I had the impulse to run but my legs didn't work.
04:58I was totally paralyzed as if a strange energy that was surrounding the house had taken over
05:03my body.
05:05Knowing that I could not move the strange and deformed dog slowly approached me.
05:10His steps looked like those of a dog but he seemed to be floating as if those steps were
05:14just to intimidate me more.
05:17Once it was a few inches away the dog stood on two legs and moved its mouth.
05:22What are you?
05:25What do you want?
05:27Spread the word.
05:30The dog had moved its mouth but the words didn't seem to come out of them.
05:35I could see a dark shadow emerge from behind the terrifying animal that seemed to be the
05:39one who was actually speaking.
05:42It seemed to be the real identity that used the image of the dog to communicate.
05:47Once its terrifying words passed through my ears everything went dark once again.
05:53We were plunged into total darkness.
05:55I could see absolutely nothing.
05:58Suddenly I felt a breath hit my ear.
06:02That breath turned into a tongue that started brushing the tip of my ear and went deep into
06:06my ear.
06:07In a sensation of pain and absolute terror I felt the tongue run all over my body.
06:13My only impulse was to scream but I couldn't either.
06:17I could only cry and let that being run all over my body and as it only began it ended.
06:24With a dry scream I woke up and got up from my bed sweating.
06:28It was hard to breathe and my ears hurt a lot as if everything I had lived through had
06:32happened outside of the nightmare.
06:34I nervously got out of bed and instinctively looked at the computer.
06:39It was on and on the screen the image of Smile Dog.
06:43Below the dog was the text Spread the word.
06:48From that day on I never stopped having nightmares about Smile Dog.
06:53Every day I have the same nightmares and they get more and more real.
06:58Today I cling to my last hope, you.
07:02By showing you this image I trust that you will experience what I have experienced.
07:06It may not happen tonight.
07:08It may not happen tomorrow.
07:10It may even happen a week or a month from now.
07:13But I am confident that by spreading the word the dog or whatever that monster is will stop
07:19harassing me.
07:21I'm really, I'm sorry.
07:24I'm sorry to do this to you guys, especially if it ever happens.
07:28Just know that I'm doing it because I have no other choice.
07:32I'm desperate and if this doesn't work I guess I won't have to live long enough to tell this
07:37story again.
