00:00In Venezuela, thousands rallied in Bolivar in support of presidential candidate for the
00:13Great Patriotic War, Nicolas Maduro.
00:17In Palestine, Israeli forces committed four new massacres against families in Gaza.
00:26In China, the search and rescue operations continue for missing people after strong floods
00:31in the northwest and southwest of the country.
00:37In Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Eterosu Studios in Havana,
00:42Cuba.
00:43We begin with the news.
00:56In Venezuela, the presidential candidate for the Great Patriotic War, Nicolas Maduro, was
01:00welcomed by the people of the Bolivar state, who expressed their support to his candidacy
01:04for the next July 28 elections.
01:07Residents from the San Felipe community staged a large march in support of the candidacy
01:11of the current Venezuelan president as he battles the blockade imposed by the United
01:14States and its European allies.
01:16Maduro thanked the people for their support to defeat the actions of the Bolivar regime
01:21and to continue working for the well-being of the nation.
01:24Maduro also condemned the intention by the far-right of privatizing the country's companies
01:29and housing, as they tried it before when they took over the legislative power in 2015.
01:43Do you want a cowardly president who comes to privatize all the companies of Guayana?
01:47Do you want a cowardly president who comes to destroy the great housing mission Venezuela?
01:52To privatize housing?
01:54They already tried it when they won the 2015 election, they forget.
01:58The only law they presented in 2016 was to take away the housing of the people and to
02:03destroy the great housing mission Venezuela.
02:06Who presented it?
02:07The hairy rat Julio Borges, Leopoldo Lopez, Capriles, Machado, the same political class
02:14as always, but the people on the street prevented it.
02:18Likewise, the presidential candidate affirmed that thanks to Venezuela's relations with
02:22the BRICS, the country has been able to guarantee large foreign investments while respecting
02:26national sovereignty.
02:31But the time has come to move on to active and courageous resistance, to the economic
02:36offensive, and thanks to the relations I have with the BRICS, investments and technology
02:41with capital from India, China and Russia have been signed and secured, respecting our
02:46sovereignty, with our socialist model, they have underestimated me greatly.
02:50They have underestimated us.
02:52But what is being accomplished is by God's grace.
02:57The head of the Venezuelan Nuestra campaign command, Jorge Rodriguez, called on the people
03:01to mobilize during the closing of the campaign of candidate Nicolás Maduro.
03:05During a press conference, the general coordinator of the Venezuelan Nuestra campaign command
03:09highlighted the massive reception of the candidate Nicolás Maduro by the people of Coro.
03:14In this sense, Rodriguez announced that from last Friday until next Thursday, July 25,
03:19they will carry out massive campaign closings in the 33 states of the country.
03:29We have already gone with the candidate, President Nicolás Maduro, to more than 160 cities,
03:35towns, villages, hamlets, cities, route, now we are going to the massive closings to the
03:41people taking the capitals, taking the main cities, in huge concentrations for the closings
03:47of the campaign, the candidate of the loyalty of the future of the homeland of the candidate
03:51Nicolás Maduro.
03:54The head of the Venezuelan Nuestra campaign command, Jorge Rodriguez, called on the Venezuelan
03:58people to take to the streets after the presidential elections of July 28, in defense of peace.
04:07And after the election, all the millions who voted to elect Nicolás Maduro constitutional
04:11president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the streets to defend the vote to defend
04:16peace and enforce respect for the results emanating from the National Electoral Council.
04:21This year, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela is trying a new street-level mobilizing tactic
04:28to bring out the vote.
04:29Our own boy in the Venezuela, Brian Meir, has more.
04:32With less than two weeks left before Venezuela's presidential elections, supporters of all
04:37ten candidates are working hard to bring out the vote.
04:40The governing Socialist Unity Party has a long history of popular mobilization, but
04:45this year, they're using a new strategy to bring out the vote for incumbent president
04:50Nicolás Maduro, called one times ten times seven.
04:56Every one of us is capable of mobilizing ten people and convincing them to find seven more.
05:02And during these days, we have to do it in a way that is objective, clear, precise and
05:07disciplined.
05:11We have to be efficient and effective to re-elect our leader Nicolás Maduro.
05:15Using an old tactic of asking every party member to convince ten people to vote for
05:19him as a starting point, President Maduro is asking them to ask each person they convince
05:24to vote for him to try to convince seven more.
05:27The number 70, which is the potential number of votes each person can mobilize using the
05:32strategy, is symbolically important.
05:35If former President Hugo Chávez were alive today, he would celebrate his 70th birthday
05:40on election day.
05:44I am raising people's consciousness, including my family, my children, my nephews and my
05:49mom, by reminding them what we have achieved and showing them and explaining things that
05:56the government is doing now.
06:00Not by making up stories, but by telling the truth.
06:03How well is this new one times ten times seven strategy going to work?
06:08The world will find out on July 28th, when millions of Venezuelans go to the polls.

06:42On Saturday, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel hosted Russian State Duma President Vyacheslav
06:46Volodymyr.
06:47The Russian official is calling it an official working visit.
06:50The Cuban head of state described as very significant the presence of the Russian delegation
06:55and affirmed that it expresses the excellent state of political, economic and commercial
06:59relations between the two countries.
07:01For his part, Volodymyr conveyed to Díaz-Canel President Putin's willingness to maintain
07:05the partnership that both nations have established, as well as the support for the development
07:10of relations, plans, and common bilateral projects.

07:22The United Nations Humanitarian Coordination Office warns that the social fabric of the
07:26Caribbean nation is at risk.
07:28UN humanitarian coordinator Abdullaye Sabuadogo said violence keeps the social fabric under
07:33enormous pressure.
07:34As family members are forcibly displaced by gang warfare, families are torn apart, jobs
07:39are lost, schools are closed, and health services collapse.
07:43At least 362,000 people have been forced to flee their homes since March.
07:47The situation has also posed an enormous challenge for humanitarian assistance offices.
07:56And in Bolivia, at least 22 people have been killed in a traffic accident on the Tambo
08:00Quemado International Highway section in Pagajes province in the La Paz department.
08:06According to police sources, it was a head-on collision between a truck and a bus on a highway
08:10in the Bolivian Andes.
08:11Another 16 people have been injured, five of them Chilean nationals, two of whom are
08:17minors.
08:18Rescuers are working to extract the bodies that remain trapped between the vehicles.
08:22A preliminary investigation has established that the truck coming from Patacamaya made
08:26a prohibited maneuver and overtaking in a highway section where it is prohibited, which
08:31caused the collision with the bus bound for Chile along the busy commercial and tourist
08:35route that connects the two countries.
08:57In Palestine, Israeli forces committed four new massacres against families in Gaza during
09:01the last 24 hours.

09:44least three Gazans dead.

10:11In the Sheikh Jadwa neighborhood in the north, five members of the same family were killed.
10:15In Jabalia, also in the north, four people were killed, two of whom were children.
10:19The brutal aggravation with artillery and fighter jets also hit several families in
10:22central Gaza, especially in the Buraj and Nusayrat refugee camps, where several families
10:27were completely wiped out.
10:29Earlier a person riding a bicycle was reportedly killed in Hanjounis south of Gaza in an absolutely
10:34random and disproportionate drone strike.
10:41United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said that the only way to stop Israel's
10:45genocide in Gaza is to implement the two-state solution.
10:49According to Guterres, Palestinians must have their own independent, democratic and sovereign
10:53state within the borders prior to the 1967 Six-Day War, in which Israel majorly occupied
10:59the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
11:01Guterres' call on the parties to return to the negotiating table to resolve the conflict
11:06in keeping with international law.
11:08The Secretary-General said the United Nations Assembly has the duty of deciding how to move
11:13forward on the legal consequences arising from the ruling of the International Court
11:17of Justice against Tel Aviv's policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territories.
11:26On the other hand, the Slovenian Justice Ministry has welcomed the advisory opinion of the International
11:31Court of Justice on Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories as illegal.
11:35In this regard, the Slovenian Justice Minister has called on the United Nations and its member
11:42states to take effective measures to fully implement the court's interpretation of international
11:47law.
11:48This past week, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel's settlements in
11:51Palestinian occupied territories are illegal and that Tel Aviv must stop the genocide as
11:56soon as possible.
12:02And in Yemen, authorities condemned an Israeli aggression against civilian targets, including
12:06the port of Hodeidah and the power grid.
12:08The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson said they would respond to this attack and will
12:12continue to fight in support of the Palestinian people.
12:17The Israeli enemy launched a brutal attack on Hodeidah Governorate, targeting the power
12:22station that supplies electricity to the coastal city of al-Hodeidah with several airstrikes.
12:28The attack also targeted Hodeidah port and the fuel tanks, all of which are civilian
12:33targets.
12:37The Yemeni Armed Forces affirmed that they will respond to this blatant aggression and
12:42will not hesitate to strike vital Israeli targets.
12:45They reiterate their previous statement declaring the occupied area of Jaffa, Tel Aviv as unsafe.
12:53The Yemeni Armed Forces, guided by their committed leadership and supported by the steadfast
12:58and resilient Yemeni people, will not cease their supportive operations for our brothers
13:02in Gaza, regardless of the consequences or outcomes.

14:55Uli, with only 74 votes against him.

16:02and Kharkov regions.
16:04The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that about 1,700 Ukrainian troops were killed in
16:08the last 24 hours.
16:10In that sense, the ministry detailed that Kiev lost about 520 soldiers in the West War
16:14direction, while to the South they lost another 510 troops, and about 330 were neutralized
16:21in the central region.
16:23During the offensive, the air defense system shot down a Ukrainian helicopter, as well

17:03improve water and sanitation conditions in the country.
17:06Finally, experts detailed that there are enough vaccines to attend the population, although
17:10they warned that immunization against cholera is designed for specific risk groups and the
17:15effect of the vaccine diminishes after three years of application.
17:19On Saturday, today's poker card won for a fifth time on this year's Tour de France,
17:40moving to the brink of a third title, with an incredible performance ahead of defending
17:44champion Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel.
17:47With just Sunday's concluding time trial to come, two-time champion poker card has
17:51a five-minute, 14-second lead over Vingegaard, as he effectively made sure of becoming the
17:56first man in 26 years to capture the Giro d'Italia Tour de France double in the same
18:01season.
18:02Today's actions culminated on the tough Col de Cuiol climb, where Evenepoel's quick-step
18:07team set the tempo and attacked Vingegaard in an attempt to take second place overall.
18:11Instead, Evenepoel dropped around 53 seconds on the day, making it less likely the Belgian
18:17can claim second place after Sunday's time trial.
