00:10Nibong Tebal Fire Station Chief Noor Asfariza Mohamad Qadir said they were informed of the

00:16incident at 12.08pm.

00:18She said the fire was brought under control after more than five hours of operation.

00:24In January 2022, a fire happened at the landfill, affecting about 16 hectare of the area, and

00:31it lasted for about 20 days.

00:33The landfill was declared a disaster area after the fire polluted the air surrounding

00:38the area, posing a risk to public health.

00:42The incident also forced the closure of 10 schools located within a 10-kilometre radius

00:47of the landfill and the evacuation of some 400 residents living near the landfill.
