A 33-year-old farmer, who was remanded to assist in the investigation into the incident involving two brothers who died from consuming crackers tainted with poison, has been released on police bail.

Kulim district police chief Supt Mohd Azizul Mohd Khairi said the investigation papers have been submitted to the deputy public prosecutor.

00:31aged two, died after consuming crackers laced with rat poison last week.
00:36The two boys are believed to have consumed a packet of crackers placed on a fence erected
00:41by the farmer to trap monkeys in Kampung Padang Ubi on July 7.
00:47The older brother passed away at Penang Hospital on July 10, while the younger brother died
00:52two days later at the same hospital.
