00:19Looking for more travel tips? Make sure to hit subscribe and ring that
00:24notification bell. So firstly let's look at the best time to visit. The best time
00:29to visit Marrakech is during the spring and autumn months when the temperature
00:34is pleasant. May and September see the least amount of rain as well. Summer is
00:39hot and dry but also busy so this is the time to avoid if possible. During the
00:45winter months the temperatures do drop which also sees more visitors coming to
00:49the city, not ideal for those looking to sightsee. When planning your exact days
00:54it is also worth being mindful of religious holidays and national holidays
00:58in the country as this can affect opening hours, room rates and public
01:03transport running times. So now let's look at getting there. The easiest way to
01:08get to Marrakech is to fly into the main airport in the city with direct flights
01:13available for many cities in Europe. From here you can take a bus into the city
01:17center with journeys taking around 30 minutes. From other cities in Morocco you
01:23can get a bus or rent a car to travel into the city and those traveling from
01:28Casablanca can catch a train to Marrakech too. So now let's look at
01:32getting around. There are a few options for those looking to see the sights
01:36around Marrakech. Firstly when visiting the Medina walking is the best option.
01:42Take a long walk through the narrow winding ancient streets to really
01:46discover the city's culture and history. Only bikes, carts and motorbikes are
01:51allowed to travel through this city center too so walking is your main
01:55option. Taxis are another option when you are traveling outside of the Medina.
02:00They are fairly affordable compared to other cities in Europe and can be found
02:04in most tourist areas of the city. However make sure your driver uses the
02:09meter and don't expect to be able to use apps like Uber or Lyft. These are yet to
02:13be available in Marrakech. There is also a local bus system that stops near some
02:19of the main attractions and a map is available on the bus company's website.
02:23We will leave the link in the description below. If you want to see
02:26the sights outside of the city like the deserts, mountains and waterfalls you
02:32could choose to book a day trip with websites like Get Your Guide but make
02:36sure to do so in advance. They can sell out quickly during the busiest seasons.
02:41We will leave all of these options in the description below. So now let's look
02:46at typical prices. Dawn beds in hostels begin at around a hundred dirham
02:51whilst private rooms can be found between 500 to 1,100 especially if you
02:57can find private rooms in hostels. Mid-range rooms begin at 1,200 whilst
03:02more luxurious hotels begin at 2,000. There is so much amazing food to be
03:09discovered in Morocco with an average local meal in Marrakech costing around
03:1450 dirham. Fast food meals begin at 60 whilst a sit-down meal in a good
03:19restaurant begins at a hundred. Marrakech is a great place for all travellers and
03:24budget travellers can save money here as well. Firstly visit in those shoulder
03:29seasons that we mentioned before with the spring and autumn months being great
03:33times to find good hotel rates. Marrakech has plenty of budget-friendly
03:38accommodation so compare the private rooms in hostels and the budget hotels
03:43in the city. Make sure to read the reviews and check if the price listed on
03:48your booking site includes the city tax. If you plan to travel outside of the
03:53Medina stick to using the buses to get around or save money by booking a
03:57sightseeing tour that includes transportation and admission to
04:01attractions. If you are catching a taxi make sure to either use the meter or
04:06negotiate a decent price for your fare. Eat the street food as much as possible
04:11or enjoy light affordable meals in the cafes. Stick to local restaurants when
04:16you're eating out and avoid drinking too much while you're here as well. Drinks
04:20tend to be overpriced here and are worth avoiding if you are travelling on a
04:24budget. So now let's look at the best things to do in Marrakech. Marrakech is
04:29full of culture to explore. Firstly spend time wandering the Medina, a collection
04:35of winding alleys and streets that make up the historic city centre. Explore the
04:40markets, meet the locals and get lost in this fascinating old city. Visit the
