00:00Why did you decide to leave the program?
00:03There's a reality aspect in Bulang Araw.
00:06It really happens.
00:08So what was difficult for me during that time
00:12was how to leave the program.
00:15Usually, all of a sudden, I don't remember
00:18after a certain dating day or something like that.
00:23But for some reason, in Bulang Araw,
00:26over and over again, my mind would ask
00:29if our relationship with Diliwino was a dream.
00:33It's very emotional.
00:35It's very disturbing.
00:37And even if we're arguing about it,
00:40we can feel the trauma.
00:42Because Lucette and I were inside a dungeon.
00:49It was dark, smelly,
00:51and we were being attacked by the police.
00:54So it was something that I never knew I would experience
00:59while living in Bulang Araw.
01:01Because at one point,
01:03we had female colleagues,
01:05especially our grandmothers and grandfathers,
01:07who were older, who passed away.
01:09So I think I also considered this project
01:15as one of my most important projects for this series
01:19because of the legacy that we will retain.
01:21That whole legacy of the Filipinos during World War II.
01:25This is the art that you created
01:28that will continue the true stories of Filipinos.
