00:06in the card to start the second race is a short field and there was a scratch of a big
00:12favorite in there but we could get you on the board with Carl Spackler who will probably
00:16be in the like eight to five ish range for us sports betters that bet baseball and football
00:21stuff eight to five is fine Kevin right when you feel good about you love we love eight
00:25to five a lot of the time but in horse racing eight to five you go all you roll your eyes
00:29and it's chalky but it's just a small field that's just a field of four and I think Carl
00:32Spackler is the class there so maybe we can get on the board early with Carl Spackler
00:37in race number two that's the Kelso that's one of the feature races today over at Saratoga
00:42but the horse that I probably like most I think of all today is in race number eight
00:47and that's going to be the number five Escondido he's ten to one on the morning line Kevin
00:51and some of the reasons why we really like this horse he is coming out of a race that
00:56we call a key race he debuted on June the seventh at Saratoga and so far in that race
01:03we've seen the ninth place finisher and the tenth place finisher come back to win their
01:08next start we've also seen the fifth place finisher come back to win their next start
01:11so three horses out of the ten that were in that race the nine opponents that he had they've
01:17already come back to win their next start Escondido ran very well for just his career
01:22debut now he's going to add the blinkers John Velasquez keeps the faith I think he's
01:27going to run really well and what I do Kevin I like to set myself a value line because
01:32we have to remember in horse racing it's not like in sports you don't get the wager number
01:38that you the odds that you bet at the time you do get the post time odds so some of these
01:43races like we'll bet Escondido if he's you know if he's five to one that's probably too
01:47short for me my value line is six I want him to be six to one or above and we can make
01:52a wager there and that's what you have to do in horse racing you have to be kind of
01:55disciplined same sort of thing when you're looking for a price with like an NFL future
02:00right if you're if you want to play or a betting line if you I'm only going to play this team
02:05if it's six and a half if it gets to seven you can't do that we have to be disciplined
02:09we have to hold our ground.
