00:00The youngest female mayor in American history just took office in Araby, Georgia.
00:04According to the New York Post, 21-year-old Brooke Huckabee is the daughter of the previous mayor,
00:08Craig Huckabee, who served for 12 years. The Daily Mail reports that Brooke is currently in school
00:13at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. With only 500 residents, Araby is so small that it
00:18doesn't even have its own police department, though Huckabee wants to change that, according
00:22to NewsNation. On Sunday, Huckabee appeared on Fox & Friends alongside her father to explain
00:27her motivation. But to the extent that young Americans are involved in politics, they don't
00:46tend to see eye-to-eye with Huckabee. She's a Republican and, according to the Daily Mail,
00:50has posted Facebook pictures of herself wearing Donald Trump merchandise. While that might be a
00:54turnoff for much of Huckabee's generation, her story does resonate with other political legacies,
00:59like Fox & Friends host Lisa Booth, whose father was a legislative assistant to a Republican U.S.
01:04senator. My dad worked on Capitol Hill in politics, and so I also followed in his footsteps,
01:09so this story means something to me. I love it.
