00:00The age of the presidential candidates this election cycle has been an issue from the start,
00:04with Donald Trump being 78 years old and Joe Biden being 81.
00:09Recently, rumors began to swirl after a Parkinson's disease specialist was seen
00:13visiting the White House on multiple occasions, sparking new concerns over the health of the
00:18president. Reporters pounced, and despite attempts to assuage concerns about it,
00:22his physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor has now written a letter to dispel the churning rumor mill.
00:27The letter outlines how neurologist Dr. Kevin Kennard was only visiting the White House as
00:32part of the normal tri-annual physicals for the president, writing in the missive,
00:36quote, Dr. Kennard was chosen for this responsibility, not because he is a movement
00:40disorder specialist, but because he is a highly trained and highly regarded neurologist here at
00:45Walter Reed and across the military health system with a very wide expertise, which makes him
00:50flexible to see a variety of patients and problems. According to the official White
00:54House visitors logs, Dr. Kennard visited the home of the president eight times in eight months.
00:59It's worth noting that during the Obama administration, he visited some 24 times
01:04in just four years. However, while Trump was living there, he discontinued the tradition
01:08of disclosing White House visitor logs, meaning the number of times the neurologist was there
01:13is unknown. Many have been worried about the mental acuity of President Biden,
01:17especially recently after his subpar debate performance on stage in Atlanta.
